Georgie heard the door to the room was in being unlocked. He was frightened and took a pillow for in front of him, for protection, and went into the far corner of the bed. The door opened and a woman with long red hair and pink eyes entered the room. For a second, Georgie thought he was saved, but that relief was washed away quickly. He stared at him, then gestured him to get off the bed.

He felt a sense of dread, similar to when he got kidnapped, and shuddered. He got up and slowly walked to her. "Bring some of the water bottles." she ordered. He flinched and picked up the bottles that weren't empty, which were 2 plus the one he was currently drinking. She nodded and walked him downstairs and then to the basement. Not that he wasn't sick, but she didn't ask or seem to care.

Charlie was sleeping, Davin was pacing back and forth, and Ozzie was staring at the ceiling. Davin froze when he saw Ruth. Ozzie must've heard the footsteps, or Davin's lack of, and he froze upon looking away from the ceiling. Georgie looked up at Ruth. "Go to your mattress, kid." she ordered again.

Georgie sits on his mattress and continues to watch Ruth. "All four of you stay put." she paused, sniffing the air around her and looking around. "I smell something dead." she walked up to Charlie and heard he was still breathing. When she looked behind her, she noticed the square hole in the wall.

She smirked and walked up to it. "Looks like Matt'll have to come home early, huh? And whose fault is this?" she asked. Georgie couldn't see the wall, so he didn't know what was wrong, and Davin and Ozzie stayed silent. She frowned and went up to Georgie.

She lifted him up, which he got startled by, and turned to Davin. "So, it's the sleeper, huh?" she asked. Davin nodded slowly. She smirked and walked up to the sleeping Charlie and kicked him. He jolted awake and looked up. His eyes met hers and he gulped. Georgie was hitting her chest to be let down, but she acted as though she didn't even feel it.

"You're trying to escape?" she asked Charlie. He shook his head, and she squinted his eyes. She hummed and turned to Georgie.

"Hey kiddo, wanna come with me?" before he could answer, she started walking towards the hole. She put him down and pointed to it. He looked up at her and gulped. He crouched down and went inside. It was pitch black, and he felt around as he crawled. He blinked a few times and his eyes adjusted to the dark.

His hand touched something that felt furry, and he retracted his hand. He noticed something long right behind the fuzz. He retched.

"Kid, find anything?" Ruth talked into the hole. Georgie said no and continued crawling. He stumbled upon a wall and felt around it. He noticed it was a bit looser than the walls to his side. He pushed down on it using his hands, and it creaked, moving backwards a bit. He sighed and pushed harder until it broke down fully.

The sudden bright light blinded him for a moment. When he could see again, the scenery in front of him was of the outside. "Kid?" Ruth called out again. He murmured something and contemplated whether or not to leave or go back.

Before he could properly decide, Matt's car pulled up into the driveway. He immediately crawled back. "So, what'd you find?" Ruth asked as he stood up.

"It leads outside." he mumbled, walking back to his mattress in a hurry. She smiled.

"Thanks for your help, little one." she cooed. Georgie nodded slowly. The front door was heard slamming and Ruth flinched. "Looks like your daddy's home." she giggled and went upstairs. Georgie didn't like how she referred to Matt.

Charlie frowned and Davin pat his head. "This is on you." he walked over to Georgie and sat behind him, all four of them waiting.

Matt stomped down the steps and went straight for Charlie. "I warned you already, did I not?" he asked.  Charlie gulped and nodded slowly. Matt slapped him and sighed. Charlie's eyes started to tear up. "Where's that smile, huh? You didn't seem to regret your actions before." he stood up.

"Sorry dad." he mumbled. Matt kicked him and he fell back. Georgie whimpered and Ozzie looked away. Davin turned away too. Matt grabbed Charlie by his hair, hard. He grunted and glared. Matt tsked.

"Stupid child, you don't get it, you know what you've done, don't you?" he shook him. "Answer me, Charles!" he shook him even more. Charlie shook his head. Matt threw him down. "Damnit kid!" Charlie shuddered, looking down. "Look at that, huh? Means to escape, you wanted to leave? You could have said so, I'll kill you right now, you stupid brat." Charlie shook his head, which only angered Matt some more.

"It was rhetorical, dumbass! I thought you were smart." he shouted. "Ruth!" she came rushing down the steps. He walked part her. "I'm leaving, I hope you don't mind visiting this house occasionally to make sure they haven't tried escaping. And don't feed that brat." before she could respond, he stomped upstairs and slammed the door behind him.

Georgie sighed and looked at Charlie, who was shaking a little. Ruth crouched over and smiled at him. "Thank you for your help, again, little one. I'll put a good word in for you with Matt." she ruffled his hair. Georgie shuffled back and she frowned before picked him up. He squealed. "You can stay with me until Matt returns." she smiled.

Before he could say anything, she left the basement and locked it behind her. Georgie was too stunned to speak and just stared at her with a deer in the headlights look. "You know, I had two younger siblings of my own, I practically raised them." she vented as she came closer and closer to the door. "I'd say I did good, only one of them is in prison." she delighted, opening the front door.

She led him outside and hummed all the way back to her home. Georgie watched her closely, and she would turn and giggle at the sight. Upon entering her home, Ruth was almost tackled to the ground by some children hugging her. She patted one of their heads and put Georgie down.

He stood stiff where he was placed and stared at the kids, much bigger than him. One of them, a boy with silver hair and a mask covering his eyes, spoke to him first.

"Hi there! Are you new here?" he smiled. Georgie shook his head timidly. Ruth chuckled.

"He's staying here for a bit Blake. Why don't you and him go watch television?" she pat Georgie's head and pushed him off into a living room identical to Matt's. She bent down and whispered something in Blacke's ear. "Don't let him out of your sight." she smirked.
