Well, Alex is still around.

I thought it wouldn't make it past the first date yet here we are.

She's always either out with him, or he's here with her.

I have to listen to her giggle in her bedroom while he whispers to her. I have to see them lounging on the couch with the guys and Amelia, who makes small faces at me every-time she catches me looking.

I've tried my best to not glare at them every time I see them but, I digress. I'm not Perfect.

I have a feeling Amelia has already filled the guys head full with reasons to hate me, because he glares at me the exact same way.

Everlee has barely said a full sentence to me in the last two weeks and it seems like she plans to keep it that way. All of her time being taken up by Alex and Amelia. If one of them isn't by her side, the other is.

He's even taken up driving her to her classes, when she even goes. I've started actually going to all of my classes now that I have extra time and her usual spot beside me remains empty.

I've tried to not let it show that it's bothering me, I've been by her side for years and now this guy comes along and she suddenly wants nothing to do with me? Fine.

I'm currently standing in the kitchen, reading off some recipe I've found online for dinner as I plan to stay in.

I don't have it in me to go out tonight, she's put me in a bit of a spiral that I don't exactly want to go down right now.

She comes in the kitchen, humming along to whatever song she's playing in her AirPod, she's freshly showered with her towel wrapped on the top of her head, her face is clean of any makeup and she's wearing her pajamas. She must not intend on leaving the house tonight either.

Which means Alex will more than likely be here, the thought of seeing them together tonight makes me wish I would have just went out after all.

She catches me staring and I look back down to my phone in hopes she just walks away but she doesn't. She pulls out an earphone and hops up on the counter, her legs spread with juuust enough room for a person to stand between them. Or kneel between them.

Thank you brain. That's exactly what I needed right now.

"Whatcha reading?"

It takes a second for her voice to actually register in my head. It technically hasn't been that long since we've talked or hung out but when you're with someone almost every single day of your life, a few minutes can feel like forever. It's been two weeks since we've actually spoke and even longer since we've had a proper hang out.

"Uhm some r-recipe."

I purse my lips and curse myself for getting tongue tied, embarrassment already flooding in.

"Need any help?"

I stare at her for a minute, I really shouldn't say what I'm about to say, I'm usually level headed and calm but I just can't seem to stop myself from blurting it out.

"What? You have time for me now?"

"I'm sorry?"

The look on her face almost makes me laugh. Her eyes are wide and her mouth opens and closes a few times before she shakes her head at me. As if she has no idea what I'm talking about.

"Are we going to act like you've even spoke to me for the last week or two?"

She slides off the counter and comes to stand in front of me with a small smile playing on her lips, what a great time to be smiling right now. I don't find anything funny.
