"Guys I think she's about to pass out."

Everlee's eyes shut and her head lulls against my hands

It's then that I really take in the state of her, she looks like she hasn't ate in days, or slept.

Her face is pale unlike the usual slight tan, the freckles across her nose are basically invisible.

"I think she's okay, she just needs to sleep and eat something. When we get back to the hotel we'll lay her down and you can clean her up. Everything's alright, she's probably just exhausted."

Nick calms me down before I can let my mind spiral out of control, I'm sure running the way she did on top of all of that would make anyone drop.

I just hold her as close to me as I possibly can and plant small kisses along her face as we drive. Being careful to not hurt any of the bruises or cuts along her face.

There's so much more than last time. I've seen it bad, but never this bad.

When I saw her freeze and look at me through the window my heart practically fell out of my chest. I thought that was it, I thought she had been caught and everything was over. Every feeling I had from that night came rushing back to me.

Then she started running and I knew I was going to get her in that car.

What the fuck happened in just a few days. I didn't think they even had time to do as much damage as they've done.

None of the guys talk, I make eye contact with Jolly through the rearview mirror a few times but he just moves his gaze back to the road. They've never see her in this state before.

She doesn't wake up the entire drive to the hotel. We don't drive long, barely even six hours. Instead we get just barely to the edge of West Virginia before we stop, not wanting Everlee to have to sit in the car in her dress and dirty the entire ride.

She shifts a few times, getting comfortable against my neck but never fully opening her eyes. I thought I felt her press a long, soft kiss against the skin of my jaw but I wasn't sure.

Once we're at the hotel I try my best to get her to wake up, I'm sure 4 guys walking in with 1 passed out girl wouldn't look too amazing for us. Especially in her state.

"Come on, Ev. You just gotta walk into the hotel and then you can go straight to sleep."

She puckers up her face like she's trying not to cry and I rub my thumb on the crease of her eyebrow. She's never liked being woken up, I bet even more so now.

She's still sitting in my lap, the guys have all gotten out of the car and walked inside, hopefully sorting the rooms out so I can just meet them with the keys.

They left us alone and by the silent nod of their heads I assume it was in purpose.

"Come on, Honey. I know it's hard but I just really need you to get up and walk to our room. I got all of your stuff in your bag so you can change into your pajamas and get back in the bed."

Her eyes slowly blink open a few times before she's looking at me with wide eyes, they're red and bloodshot. Holding so much pain in them that I have to hold tears back myself, how could anyone ever look at a face like that and have any desire to hurt her the way they did.

She purses her lips as her eyes dance around my face, her hands grip at my shirt sleeves hard and she practically throws her entire body on me.

"Oh God, Noah. I knew you'd come, I knew they were lying to me. I knew you wouldn't leave me there."
