Everything had gone from amazing to terrible then back to amazing and then right back down to terrible. When those fools known as the Balancers had first set him free due to their curiosity, he had quickly managed to grow in power. He had even taken a good handful of the Balancers as his own servants and managed to push Balance and Lava back. He still wasn't sure what Lava was, but he really hoped there weren't more of his kind. Now that would be a nightmare. Either way, he had been feeling unstoppable at the time. But then Balance and Lava returned, this time with Second Balance in tow. In the end, something about Balance had changed. Said change had been enough to tip the scales, and he had been struck down by the Balancer of Light, appearing in the Spirit World.
Things were looking pretty soon though, when Entity Brine had created a machine to bring him back to the normal realm. It had worked, and with his renewed strength, he began to again overpower Lava and the Balancers. He had had them on the ground and was about to take his revenge for making him seem like a weakling in their last fight. But then three old men had come out of nowhere and forced him to retreat. Their power... even being close to them he could feel it. Something about that wasn't normal, even though he couldn't put his finger on what it was. It was so frustrating!Sense then, he had decided to leave taking care of those annoyances and their allies to Entity Brine and had resumed his research on the world- the universe, in which they all inhabited. He had discovered that new term during this recent time of revelation, and it had opened up so many new possibilities. It had also served to greatly expand upon his ambitions. And that, had led him to dive deep in the topic of universal travel. As far as he could tell, there was no way to make it happen with his power level, which was both frustrating, and understandable. From what he could gather from the few books on the topic, the only people who knew of that would be capable of such a feat would be those three old men, based on their energy's feel. Maybe Entity Brine well, if his understanding of this all was sound.
At the moment, due to not being able to get to another universe, he was in search to see if he could discover anyone who may have come from another Universe. If he could, and if they didn't know his intentions, he could possibly get to their universe. He didn't care much for this one, so a change of scenery, even a slight one, would be a win in his book. He had been in search of any odd energy signatures; with the help of radars that he had tuned using some info he had gotten from some books. For a couple months, his efforts gave no results, only spiking a couple times, all of which led to seemingly dead ends. That changed when he managed to spot a unique individual.
They had a maroon-ish skin color, and wore a dark gray outfit, with a belt tightening it around their waist. They wore a matching mask, covering their face completely. They seemed to be female, based on the slim arms, although it was hard to tell without a face to put it with. Across her back was slung a staff with crooked hooked ends, being made of some strange pink metal he had never seen before. Upon pointing the radar at her from a distance, it spiked to a higher level than it ever had before. He had found a traveler.Slowly, and with great care, he made his way closer. He stuck behind hills and tress, understanding that beings that could perform such jumps between universes had to have an immense level of power about him. His days of being overconfident had long ended, so he knew he had to be very careful in order for his plan to work. This could be his one and only chance. Soon, he was a mere ten blocks way, being hunched down behind a birch tree. The figure just looked around for a moment, then looked ahead of them. To his surprise, a physical portal of sorts appeared, it being a marron color, several shades brighter than her skin. It had no blocks to outline it, but there was no mistaking the soft hum of a portal. Before he had much time to think through his next actions, she stepped forward and entered the portal, disappearing from view. Without any other clear choice, he sprinted out from behind the tree and leaped through the portal just as it closed.
His eyes were clamped closed, so he wasn't too sure if he had made it. But the ground under his feet didn't feel like grass anymore... he opened his eyes, looking down at the blocks that he stood on, and saw sand. He slowly lifted his head, seeing that he was standing in front of a decent sized pond. It was dark out, and he looked around him, taking it all in. Something about this felt... different. Somehow, he just knew this wasn't his universe. He had done it! He had actually gotten into a new one. He laughed a bit, despite himself, relieved to finally be able to move on. Although now... he wasn't sure what he wanted. His plan had at first just been to spread his infection in a universe that wasn't ready for him. But maybe it was the fear of knowing someone may be able to stop, and even kill him made him hesitate. Maybe... maybe he could-
Within a single moment he was gone, the only signs of his existence being green, pulsing vein like marks in the sand. Right behind where he had just been standing, Dest stood with an arm pointed out in front of him. "Sorry, Demon King. Can't have any variables right now. You'll have a fine life in the World Beyond until my plans are complete." With that, he lowered his arm, and disappeared as well.
