I stood on the edge of the large pit that sat in the middle of the Ore Steve's Kingdom. I was looking out across it, at all the Steves, Alexs, and other beings bustled about, preparing for what we all knew was to come. My arms were crossed the back, and I was so still that it could easily be thought I was some sort of statue. It didn't occur like this very often, actually be able to be calm and think over a plan of attack like this. All the previous threats I had encountered, like Herobrine and Psychotic, my team and I had just ended up finding ourselves in the middle of it. Voided One and his servants were a big problem, obviously. But they actually had prep time for this assault I had in mind. The best I could assume was we had three more days before we had to act, which was pretty good, seeing as he had spent eleven days up till now preparing as well.

"Hey, Balance." A voice said from behind me. I didn't bother turning my head to look who it was, knowing the voice already. Diamond joined in standing next to me, looking into the pit for a moment, before looking out across it like I was doing. "Could I ask you something?"

"Sure, what's up." I said, still not changing my gaze. I was ready to listen, and hopefully answer him, while still trying to keep my current train of thought going as to not lose focus on the plans forming in my head. I was curious as to what Diamond wanted, though. The last time we had had a one-on-one talk had been about the need to kill the Bedrock Steves. He understood why Diamond wanted to avoid doing that entirely, but sadly there was just no way to do that. If they were gonna get to the heads of Voided One's forces, they'd have to go through the bulk of it. And sadly, that would likely result in the loss of many of the infected bedrocks. Not that they couldn't minimize the infected's casualties, though. Alchemy and some of the Elders were discussing ideas on that at the moment.

"Was just wondering, why aren't you doing anything? I mean according to the people I've talked to you and your friends have dealt with things like this before and all, but should you just be standing around?" That was a fair question, specially to someone who was also used to these situations. Not counting universe scaling, the main difference between mine and Diamonds issues seemed to be the amounts of people involved. This current war, for example, had well over a thousand people involved, coming from all over the OverWorld. That was a large part of why I was being able to do what I was doing at the moment.

"I'm planning for the Void Servants." I responded, unfolding my arms, crossing them again in front of me. "This isn't the first time we've had to go against a team of sorts. Back when we fought Brine, he had his Hunters, which equated to seven people we had to fight before actually getting to him. Ultimately, two of the Hunters came to us for help, wanting out of their situation, bringing them down to five. After that, we had to kill one, capture one, absorb two, and when the last Hunter realized he had a chance to get out of Brine's grasp, he took it." I paused for a moment, before going on. I was aware much of what had happened wasn't all that easy to put into simple, linear explanations.

"The last Hunter had wanted to stop what he was doing for a long time. In fact, it turned out that every Hunter that had free will wanted out but had no way of getting away from Brine. So, when we got involved, and began to take them down, those with free will either came to us for help, or ultimately accepted capture. The only one's we had to kill or absorb were the ones with no free well, although we didn't know that about them till after the fact, and it was too late to undo." I still wished we could have helped Entity 404. Maybe if he had managed to capture him, he would have been freed like Null was when Brine died. Of course, there was Brine himself. He had no idea of how they could have saved him any other way then killing him, seeing as Dest was the one in control. And then, of course, Dest being controlled was the same thing. Dest himself had thanked them for wat they had done, after destroying his body. Some people... the only one to save them was the last thing you wanted to do.

"I'm trying to figure out the who should fight the Servants. And more importantly, based on what I know, which ones may be savable by methods other than killing. Sadly, it seems most of them are committed to Voided One's will. Most of them..." Something about Void Dancer reminded me of Entity 303, in the odd feeling of them not being fully *in* their situation. It was looking like only time would tell, though, as usual.

"Oh, that would be nice. Not having to kill them I mean." Diamond said, nodding his head, his gaze following some of the people has they hurried about. I was sure it had to feel weird, seeing so many Steve's together. From what he had told him, his Universe was in a pinch when it comes to groups of people. "What do you think about Shadow Sabre? You worked with him before, right?"

"I'd... like to say he could join us again, and he may do so if backed into a corner." I sighed, shaking my head. "But he's switched sides too many times. He just goes the people he believes can win. If anyone else were to come at us after Voided One, he'd be likely to just join them. Although there's at least one Servant I dully believe has a solid chance of turning for the betterment."

"That's good, even if that's not much." Diamond said. His voice was more upbeat again, as it was when not talking about impending doom. "Gotta save as many as we can, right?" That was how I viewed it. We wouldn't be able to save everyone, that was a given. But if I saw someone, I knew I could save... then I was going to die trying.
