Who's In Charge

He swung his blade out in an arc, it colliding with his opponent's weapon. A shockwave blasted out, along with a resounding ringing sound that echoed across the landscape. He rolled down, spun around on one knee, and swung the blade up as hard as it could, it once more connecting with the matching sword, the same result occurring as the two were thrown away from one another. He reached out, his hand dragging along the grass, which was slick with morning dew, and landed on his feet, holding the weapon out in front of him. In most fights like this, he'd be using more than one weapon, a shield, or even armor. None of that would help him with this.

He was just in black pants and a cyan t-shirt, it still be early morning. He hadn't even put on his sweatshirt before this engagement had begun. He wasn't sure if anyone else was even awake yet. The figure he was facing off with looked strikingly like him... well, actually, looked pretty much exactly like him, with some color hues shifted. His sweatshirt was a much darker blue then his own, and his eyes were dark and cold. And instead of his left eye being purple, it was black.

"Ya know, it's nice to see that after all this time, someone else was actually able to get their hands on one of these." The darker figure said, tossing the blade from one to the other, and then back again. The blades were identical, both being a dark gray coloring, with streaks of hyper blue, neon green, and apple red going down its side. "Blades that are indestructible, even if you threw them into a super nova. And that can cut through anything; accept itself, of course."

"Yep, sounds about right." the sweatshirt-less figure said, his blue and purple eyes flicking around the area before returning their focus to his opponent. He was aware the blades also couldn't cut through solid light, such as weapons that were nothing but energy. But that was something he was fine keeping to himself. The other continued to talk though, as if he hadn't heard anything.

"And of course, those who wield them are near unkillable as long as it's making contact with them." That was true, he knew that from the moment he picked it up. It gave off an odd tingling sensation when he held it, and he didn't get tired while fighting while it was in his hand. "I'd say they have quite the accurate name, these "Admin Blades"... who ever wields them is pretty much in charge of their universe... or at least, they have the power to be." He chuckled, spinning the gray blade around, before looking back to man who normally wore a blue sweatshirt. "All comes down to how much vision the user has."

"This much power could save a world, several worlds. And yet, that's not what you want to do." He responded, slowly rotating the blade in his right hand. His left arm, which was made of metal, was ever so slightly harder to control. The difference was slight, but in situations like these, it mattered. "You made it clear that you don't want peace." The figure laughed, shaking his head.

"Oh, you're still upset about that?" He said in a mocking tone. "Come on now, buddy, you gotta let stuff like that go."

"You went across the multiverse, slaughtering every variation of us you could find! Beyond you and me, there's only two of us left!" The brighter figure said, his blue and purple eyes sparking slightly, his hair waving slightly as his clothing and skin pulsed with energy.

"Yeah, thanks again for showing up when ya did. Thanks to finding you, I didn't have to, ya know," he made a slicing motion near his own neck with the blade, once again letting out a laugh. "You were the only other version of us out there to have an Admin Blade. Ya know what the means, right! It means you and I are special! And together? Oh, together we could do such amazing things... think of what two Admin Blades could do, if they became one." He didn't want to think about that. He steadied his feet, trying not to think about it. He hadn't gone out and looked for this blade... it had been entrusted to him by someone he couldn't really say no to. He had it to make sure no one else did, so that it's power couldn't be abused. And now here he was, fighting the only other person who had one. Ironically, himself.

"If you want this blade, you'll have to pry it from my cold dead hands. And you know good and well that I'm not falling anytime soon." The three stripes of color on the sword pulsed as a blue mist surrounded his arms and legs, getting low to the ground in a defensive position, spinning the blade around partially so I was holding it backwards. His other self laughed, yet again. He was cocky, which to be fair, he had many reasons to be.

"I have no intent on killing you... you'll be useful, even once both blades belong to me!" He sprinted forward, swinging out the gray sword in a wide arc. he lifted his own, the two again crashing together in a shower of brilliantly bright sparks. He ducked, jumped up, and then teleported a few dozen blocks away.

"You're not laying a hand on this blade, or any of my team!" He said, eyes and hair now fully alight in blue and purple energy. He got into a stance as if to run, held out the blade, and tela-slashed at full force right at his enemy. He knew that the other would instinctively lift the identical blade, which is what he was counting on. The blades made contact, and for just a moment, it felt like everything froze. The blade had struck something indestructible, meaning it didn't slice through. But that didn't stop its momentum. The other figure seemed to disappear, although the trail of obliterated trees and ground told what had happened. He slid the sword over his back and turned back to the mansion. He... well, the other him, more than likely wouldn't come back without a plan, so he felt safe... for now. He needed to know what two Admin Blades combined could do... and he knew just who to ask. The person who had given it to him.
