(Erik's pov)
I plunged the knife into him again, right into his stomach. blood started to pool. The smell was awful, making my stomach lurch. I reached my hand inside the small puddle of blood inside him, just two fingers. I started to draw the inverted pentagram, the symbol of the devil. Again and again I went back to Nadir's corpse, dipping my fingers into his blood as needed. It took a little over five minutes to to draw the symbol. After taking a few deep breaths and changing my shoes,to the ones filled with salt.
"Alright."
I muttered to myself and lit the candles at each point. The air was still heavy with incense, so that was alright. I grabbed the book and the piece of paper with my instructions written down.
"Klaatu Barada Nikto..."
I said multiple times in my head, making sure it sounded strong. I'd sound so stupid if I stammered. I was just selling my soul, nothing to be nervous about! Right? Oh god...
"Better get to this Erik..."
I muttered.
"Klaatu Barada Nikto!"
I yelled and the candles flickered. The piece of parchment with my request that was sitting in front of me went up in flames, only the flames weren't normal redish orange. They were black! After the paper had finished burning there was a pile of ash, much bigger than there should've been standing in front of me. The ground started to rumble and the ash started illuminating. A giant pale hand shot up from it. Then another. Who I assumed to be Lucifer pulled himself out of the dust. He was a pale white color, a grey hue to his skin. His arms were huge, very muscular despite his sickly appearance. Though he was covered in what appeared to be drawings... I'd heard about them. African's and South American had these. His feet weren't feet! His legs weren't legs! He had the legs of a goat and cloven hooves! I wanted to faint. His horns were that of a bull, and his eyes glowed a strange yellow color. His face was that of the most handsome man you could ever imagine.
"I believe you've brought me here for a reason."
His voice was like the rattle of a snake. It was meant to be a warning, but it drew you in.
"Y-yes Monsieur...?"
"Lucifer..."
"Yes, Lucifer. I want to trade my soul, for my wife... she died of tuberculosis."
he let out a laugh, like a gong.
"I know that! I know all, just as him!"
He looked up toward the sky.
"Him?"
"Those that you silly creatures call the creator and protector... I cannot say his name!"
I nodded, realizing he meant God.
"So, you want to trade your soul for her life?"
He smirked and I nodded quickly.
"Please, I need her in my life Lucifer, I cannot live without her and she me!"
"I shall take more than your soul...Erik."
My heart was racing at that point.
"What do you want?"
He gave me an evil grin.
"You will no longer be able to sing..."
