So ok wow, I was never expecting so many of you to like my story... I am really sorry I haven't been updating it, but I will try my best to continue. Reading all your comments and your encouragement is 100% why I am continuing, so thank you everyone for your support. You all are too kind.

POV: Alpha King Erik

As soon as I walked past the doors into the medical wing, I was hit with my mate's wonderful scent, but with a lot less of blood and infection tainting it. I didn't even need the doctor to tell me what room she was in. I mentally prepared myself for what I would see but I still was not ready for it. Talia was in a stark white room, in a bright white bed, covered in pristine white bandages and one arm in a soft white cast. If the smell of bleach and disinfectant didn't scream hospital, the visual certainly did. She had tubes connected to her arms with IV drips as well as several monitors, one of which beeped steadily to the beat of her heart. It was hard to see her like this but there was nowhere else I would rather be. The only thing that brought me any sort of comfort was that the second I laid eyes on her I felt our bond reconnect, even though she was not conscious. Even though I could feel her through Anna, it felt so much better to have our own bond back, faint though it may be. It felt like I was broken and the second our own bond came back it was like I was once again whole.

Though I know she couldn't hear me I still walked into the room as softly as possible. I stood on the side of the non-broken arm and hesitantly put my hand in hers. Sparks erupted everywhere our skin touched and I gave in to the bond easily, fully allowing myself to hold her hand, but of course being careful enough to not move her arm in any way. Though this arm was not broken, it was still covered in bandages and I needed to be careful. Marcel was livid seeing our mate in this state, pacing in my head with anger rolling off him in waves. He wanted blood for what was done to Talia, more so then ever now that we know what she has been though, but he didn't try to fight me for control. Though he wanted to slaughter anyone that cause her harm, he wanted to stay by her side more and right now she didn't need an alpha fighting for her, she needed a gentle mate to watch over and protect her so she can fully recover.

Shortly after I entered Anna, Kyle and Aaron joined myself and Doctor Levist in the room. While I stayed standing by my mate's side, the rest took seats around the room as Doctor Levist did a rundown of everything they did in the surgery. Then he went over everything she was hooked up to as well as the medications she was receiving through IV and then what medications she would need to take once she was conscious again. Most were for fighting the infection and for pain management. Some of her bandages could be removed over the next week and the rest the week after. Her infection will need to be monitored so they are unsure how fast that will heal and lastly her cast should be able to come off by week three. Because she was fighting the infection, her bodies resources were mostly devoted to that, this causes a longer healing time for everything else. However, I felt the recovery time seemed oddly short for the average wolf, I was expecting much longer.

"So when will she wake up?" Anna asked softly, the same question I was about to.

"Actually, that's what I want to talk about next. Talia is in a medically induced coma, and I think we should keep her in one for the next three days, the reason being the full moon is in two." We all knew what that meant, heat. Wolves only go into heat once they are bonded with marks by their chosen mate, but if they have found their fated mate then heat will start on the next full moon since fated mates start a bond the second they meet, the longer they are together the stronger it gets. With enough time, fated mates can have a full bond without the need of marking. "As you can see, Talia is in no condition to be in heat. You both haven't spent much time together so your bond should be on the weaker side, we are hoping that the combination of a weaker bond and being unconscious might prevent her heat from triggering. If you want to wake her up we can, but I advise against it." The doctor said looking at Anna.
