Sorry for the long delay! I hope you enjoy! I kind of just felt like adding in the kings perspective. The next chapter will be back to Talia and will pick off right where I left off in chapter 5. Let me know what you think and if you like seeing different points of view.

POV: Alpha King Erik

For the first time ever, male werewolves have breached our boarders in pursuit of the two females that came to our lands in search of mates. All other attempts wolves have made, have never been successful. The wolves that dared step on my land and raise a hand against one of our females have all been slaughter, except two we kept alive for questioning. As of yet we still have no clue how they got past our boarders undetected. What is worse is that they even came armed with weapons, darts that contain something that can not only block the human side from their wolf but also poison them. One of the darts hit one of our new females, luckily there was an antidote in one of the wolves cars so she is now fine. The darts didn't work at all on the Lycans which was good, that means the southern wolves were not expecting lycans, most southern wolves don't even know lycans exist. It still made my blood boil that something like that weapon was out there. I told my Beta Kyle to send the darts and antidote to one of our labs so we can analyze the serum to see what is in it, as well as mass produce the antidote so all of our boarder packs have it for any future attacks.

The whole attack on the unmated females was strange. For over a hundred years female wolves with mates have been drawn to our territory by the moon goddess, once they reach our lands the boarder packs welcome them in and help find their mates. Of course, the southern packs dislike having a female leave, sometimes they even are cast out, shunned, or come to us as rouges just to get here. Some packs refuse to let the females leave their territories and come to try and capture them to bring back. All of this we are used to. What we are not used to is southern wolves trying to kill the females. This is why I sent Kyle with a large group of warriors to go retrieve the females and bring them here, to ensure their safety. I was being overly cautious by sending my Beta but now I am glad I did, southern wolves never should have been able to reach them on the road like they did.

Kyle let me know that the darted female was fully recovered, the other however did not fair as well. Though she was never darted she was attacked while she was protecting the first female. From what I have been told the injuries are extreme and there was worry she might not even make it. When I reached out through the bonds of my warriors I could feel they were all extremely worried. All of them were very drawn to the injured female and are extremely protective of her, the warriors were even annoying the crap out of Kyle with checking in on her since he was the one driving her. If I had to guess she was most likely mated to a higher ranking member of the pack, in case I am right I called in all the top warriors so they are out in the field training when they arrive. If she is one of their mates he can mark her as well as donate his blood to help her heal, so the sooner her mate is found the better off she will be. A lycan's healing is much faster than a wolves so a mate mark and his blood would give her the healing power of a lycan. Even if her mate is not out on the field our best doctor arrived at the castle not long ago and is prepping the surgical room in the infirmary wing of the castle. I also called in ample amounts of nurses, so they have extra hands. Kyle has been in almost constant contact with the pack doctor, so I haven't been trying to contact him much, he had enough on his plate already. Kyle did contact me not long ago to let me know the injured female woke up, I could hear the relief in his voice. She might end up with permanent damage due to the severity of her wounds, but her waking up was a good indicator that she would at least survive it.
