5 - First Sight

Good evening everyone! I know this chapter is coming out later than planned but I am already working on the next chapter so you wont have to wait as long for the next iteration. I hope you all enjoy this!

Also the image about is the Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany and is what I am using as a reference for my story. It is just so beautiful and I love how it looks so much.

Also thank you for reading my book! I hope you are enjoying it as much as I am enjoying writing it <3 I am really bad at brevity and I am sure there is a lot I could have trimmed out of this chapter but well... I am lazy and I liked it lol...

Nothingness.

That is the only word to describe how I felt. Everything was black. I felt no pain. I have no troubles or worries, but also no joy.

Maybe a better word would be that I felt numb. This numbness was both comforting and unsettling at the same time.

"Talia can you hear me?" A voice I recognized said to me, yet I couldn't place a name. "Damn you are out of it. It's me Lyn, you know, your other half?"

How does this person know what I am thinking?

"Seriously? We share space in your mind..."

I don't understand. I tried to say but I found I didn't know how to speak.

"Maybe you lost more blood then I thought. We are in your mind, so you don't have a mouth. If you want to speak with your mouth then you need to wake up your body and use the mouth you were born with. For now just think it and I will hear it."

Slowly some of the pieces started to fall together, particularly who and what I am and I started to feel silly for my initial confusion. My memories felt fuzzy for exactly how I got to this state, but Lyn quickly filled me in. I tried repeatedly to wake up, but I just couldn't.

"Your body is trying to heal and it's taking all the energy it has to do it, that might be why you are stuck here with me, we just need to wait it out." Lyn said softly trying to sound reassuring.

And so we waited, for how long I did not know but eventually I started to feel very unwelcome pain.

"You are getting feeling back, I think that means you will awaken soon. This is a good thing."

Lyn was right as I felt more and more feeling coming back, most of it was pain throughout my body but there was one spot where I had a pleasant feeling, it was on my head. Slowly my eyes opened and I found myself stretched out on the backseat of a car with my head on Anna's lap as she gently and continuously stroked my hair in the way that only she knew that I loved.

"Anna how are you feeling?" I asked but my voice came out horse and cracked, my throat was horribly dry and I really needed something to drink. Anna jumped at hearing my voice and even the person driving the car instantly pulled over. Anna quickly started fussing over me, asking how I felt, how much pain I was in etc.

Before I could even think to try and respond I looked around where I lay and eyed a water bottle close by. Slowly I sat up, which hurt a lot, with help from Anna and grabbed the water bottle as if my life depended on it. I took several long swigs as the person who was driving put the car in park on the side of the road and turned around to look at me. He looked concerned, like a close friend would but I did not know him. He did however, look familiar. Before addressing him, I turned back to Anna.
