"Wait so how was it?!" Adina had taken up more than half of your bed space leaving you to resort to fuzzy pink carpet you bought from Target not long ago.

"It was..." you took a deep breath in as if you were revisiting the exact moments. "So good."

"Ugh I need me some Cameron then." Adina teased as she bounced her eyebrows playfully.

"Girl it's Carmen not Cameron." You sat up to pull your knees in closer to you as the floor was starting to get a bit too uncomfortable.

"Ok well, when are you going to see him again?"

"I have no idea, when he left he said he was going to work, and that I could leave whenever I wanted to."

"Wait so you haven't spoken to him since?" Adina propped herself onto her elbows in such a quick movement that she almost teetered herself off the edge of the bed. You shook your head 'no' and you saw her face instantly drop in a 'you've got to be kidding me' unamused way.

"I'm sure it's been like 24 hours Y/n." She scoffed.

"Oh?"

"Yeah and he should've texted you back with a 'hey' or a 'last night was so good'." She mimicked in a deep manly tone. "I mean at least something." She threw her hands up in the air before shaking her head.

You felt so out of loop, your dating history or more like hookup history wasn't as lengthy as your beloved roommate's. Yes, she was in a loving relationship for a few years, but she had a hell of a time before she had met who she thought was the love of her life. And ever since, it's been late night sneaking out of the apartment and d*ck-appointments every other Friday.

What you had felt last night, was more than just a fun night. You definitely had the feels for Carmy and he couldn't leave your mind. Even before you got into his bed naked.

"Should I text him?" You frowned.

"No, he's probably busy. Don't let me scare you but if he still doesn't respond by the end of today, I'm leaving a bad Yelp review." She sneered.

Adina pretended to pull out a phone and started typing in the air, "If only the chefs sex game was as good as his food, *barf emoji*."

"Alriiight." You rolled your eyes motioning for Adina to leave your room. You pulled on her arm to get her out of the bed, dragging your comforter and stuffed flower pillow with you.

"You're kicking me out!?" She wailed, attempting to hold her ground while you tried desperately to push her out. "After all I've done for you?"

"...yes." You slammed the door shut after playfully pushing her out and you could hear her feign a sobbing fit from the other side of the door. Just to instantly stop and hear the familiar creek of the fridge door open.
_______

A few days have passed and although Carmy sent a few messages here and there, you couldn't help but think that Adina was right. It was almost radio silence from him. It weirded you out especially because he was quite talkative before the first planned date, which went terribly wrong. Now he sleeps with and your suddenly a stranger.

- Hey Carmy, how's work?

You rolled your eyes with how dry your texting was. Well, he is a chef. Maybe I should just wait it out and not be super clingy...I don't want to be super clingy... you thought to yourself. And it was truly a lie, you were never the distant type. You loved spending time with people, whether it was movie night with some takeout or a fancy event. You took 'What's Your Love Language' quizzes on your work breaks as an escape from the 400 emails you had to send daily. And you daydreamed constantly about being suprised with flowers at your doorstep after a long day.
