I told Jace not to take me anywhere expensive. I would feel guilty if he ever did but he did say to dress nicely. He went with dad to run errands so I was stuck here finding something to wear. I looked through my closet over and over.

"Ugggh. I have absolutely nothing to wear. I haven't gotten a new outfit and months." I sounded like your typical white girl but in reality I was just nervous about going on a real date with Jace. I had only been out with him a few times but nothing romantic. I didn't want to screw anything up. I used the time I had alone and went shopping.

I walked into a popular store Malin. It was a very nice dress store with tuxedos and everything. I started looking around and a tall woman with curly red hair who looked to be in mid 40's came over to me.

"Hello mam. Is there anything in particular you are looking for?"
She said sweetly.

"Just something simple yet elegant."

The woman took a good look at me. She handed me a pile of clothes and walked me to the dressing room.

"Yellow? Eww I look like a lemon."
I laughed at myself in the mirror and looked through the pile of dresses and came across a mint green dress with flowers laced on the back and front. It came just above the knee. I fell in love with the dress. I had silver pumps I was just dying to wear. Now I can wear them.

I danced around my room listening to 'Uptown Funk'. I curled my now long brown hair, done my makeup lightly, and slipped into my new dress. Someone knocked on the door and a voice that sounded like Jace's asked if I was ready. I slipped my pumps on and opened the door. Jace's eyes widened and he looked at me from head to toe. He grabbed my hand and twirled me around. I laughed.

"You look stunning this evening, Avery." He said in a very formal tone. I couldn't help but blush.

"And you clean up nicely yourself."

We got to the car and he wrapped his arms around me.

"Can I blindfold you?" He said suddenly.

"What? Why?"

"I want it to be a suprise babe."

I laughed and nodded in agreement. We drove for what felt like forever.

"You're not going to murder me? Right?" I teased at him.

"No, of course not. We are actually here now."

He helped me out of the truck and took the blindfold off of me.

In the middle of a field There was a small table with lights in the trees, seats for two, and a waiter.
We sat at the table and the waiter gave us our plates of barbecue ribs, mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes with two cokes.
It was simple yet amazing. The waiter turned on soft music from a cordless radio.

"Jace, this is really..." He cut me off.

"Amazing? Yeah. First impressions have to be perfect."

"Where on earth did you find the waiter?" I chuckled at my own question.

He leaned it across the table and whispered "The waiter...is my brother." He laughed and I joined in and accidentally snorted in front of him. I had never snorted in front of Greyson. I guess you could say I was more comfortable around Jace.

We continued to talk for what felt like hours and then he walked over to me and held his hand out.

"Can I have this dance?"

I took hold of his hand and was swayed in sync to 'Photograph' By Ed Sheeran. I layed my head on his chest. The silence was far from awkward it was quite lovely. He twirled me around and I giggled at this. I felt like a princess. I felt amazing. He made me forget all of the bad in the world. There was apart of me that just didn't want to get close to him because maybe, just maybe he would end up like Greyson. I frowned at the thought. All that Greyson has put me through in a total of two months. The abuse, the rape, the nightmares, simply all of the hurt. I couldn't imagine Jace ever being this way but you never know. People always have two sides.

I looked down at her while swaying to the music. She had a slight smile that turned to a frown. I wondered what was wrong but didn't want to ruin the moment so I didn't ask. Instead I took her by the hand and ran towards my truck. And off into the night we went.

"Where are we going Jace?" She kept begging for me to tell but I wasn't going to tell.

"Sweetheart relax. You'll see soon enough."

We drove up to a small abandoned playground I remembered from my childhood.
"Here we are."

"A playground?" She asked making a weird face at me.

I opened her door and drug her over to the swings. I jumped off the swing and walked over to the mary go round.

"C'mon babe. It's fun."

She hopped on but barley made it so I grabbed hold of her hand.

I looked at her when the mary go round came to a halt. We were both dizzy and standing up was no use. We crashed down on top of eachother laughing. I helped her up and she wrapped her arms around my neck. I couldn't help but look into her beautiful brown eyes. I knew I had fallen in love with her. No other girl has ever made me feel half of what she makes me feel.

"Avery. We haven't known eacothers long. You've shown me what happiness is. I know that asshole done you wrong. He hurt you in ways I wouldn't wish upon anyone but I swear in everything in me I will never be that way towards you. Even if you do end up breaking my heart, I'll just be glad it was you who broke it."
She began to tear up.

"I-I think I love you too. And I know you won't treat me the way Greyson did. Not all guys are jerks and total assholes. Well, you are an asshole but you're a sweet one."
I laughed at this and pressed my lips against hers. The kiss became more intense. I grabbed her waist and bent down to continue kissing her perfectly soft lips. This was the beginning of something great.

Hope you like this chapter. I loved writing it. Things get heated up and extremely complicated in the next chapter. I'll try and update tomorrow but no promises.
