海賊狩
You expected that something was going to go wrong if you left Luffy alone, but what you didn't expect was that he was going to come back with the legs stuck to his butt.
As he was busy laughing about his situation, racing with a random leopard-centaur, the rest of you traveled some more, and discovered that there was side of the island completely covered in snow.
So after Usopp wrangled Luffy, growing a mode of passage across the freezing/flaming river, you all set off.
...
Only to be sunk by a band of animal people on the icy side.
But it was a good thing they had warm coats...
海賊狩
"That noise sure was loud, huh? I bet it was Sanji," Luffy sighed, crossing his arms, "Hey, Crocotaur. You still not gonna tell me where the rest of my crew is at?"
"Keep dreaming, but you're not gonna get a word out of me, all right?" The very large, crocodile centaur-man denied, running as fast as he could.
The five of you, plus Brook, who you ran into on the way, had hitched a ride and forced him to bring you to where they were holding the crew.
Of course, he didn't explicitly say anything, but the sounds of louds booms and fighting could be heard not too far away, so you all had a pretty good idea.
"Fine then! But can't you run faster at least? My friends could be in real trouble right now. We gotta get to that building before someone gets hurt!" Luffy groaned.
"Like me? Or my crew you robbed?" Crocotaur spat, "You're nothing but a bunch of thugs. And now you gotta humiliate me like this?"
"You're just crying 'cause you got your ass beat. Don't pin this on us. You're the one who attacked," Zoro rolled his eyes, "Man up, Man-o-dile. Croco-man? Whatever..."
"Brook, you don't even have skin. You're sitting there shivering, but you can't be cold, right?" Usopp asked, hugging himself, "Did you just steal that coat because you wanted to fit in?"
"What if I did? Is it so wrong to want to share in the suffering of my friends?" The skeleton smiled, "Cold is a state of mind, after all. You don't need skin for that!"
"Zoro?" You asked, puffing hot air into your hands as you turned your back to him, "Could you help me out?"
"Yeah," he nodded, drawing one of his swords, "Hold still."
You froze, and the swordsman cut two quick and careful slices in the back your stolen coat, each of them the perfect size for your wings to spring out of.
