Before the fight could get any worse, another Vegapunk stepped in a neutralized Jimbei's pacifista, introducing himself as Vegapunk Shaka: The Good and going on to explain a few things.

You tuned him out for the most part, more focused on breaking out of the futuristic boots that stuck you to the floor, though you did perk up when he mentioned Ohara.

He told Robin about how the real Vegapunk, along with a couple other colleagues, returned to the island after its Buster Call and recovered as much research as they could before bringing it back to Egghead for further investigation.

And within the research, he found evidence that would suggest that technology during the Void Century was a thousand times more advanced than anything in present day.

Though, of course, not ten minutes afterward, it was discovered that the Navy was on their way to the island with the might of countless warships, nine vice admirals, CP0, and an admiral, all to apprehend and execute Vegapunk.

So, after a few battles and a couple Navy scares, the entire crew eventually met back up in the lab, along with the six Vegapunks.

海賊狩

"What do you mean he's not here?! He's got to be in the lab somewhere!" Usopp exclaimed frantically.

"I ran... all over the place... looking, though," Luffy panted, letting his tongue lull out as he plopped down on a couch.

"So you broke your hoverboots from all that running around?" Chopper asked.

"Don't snitch! I can't pay them back!" Luffy turned to Shaka. "But seriously, where did Apple Gramps go? I couldn't find Bonney either."

"Bonney's over here. Everything in the lab is transmitted to this monitor."

"You could've told me sooner!"

From your spot in the corner, you brought your hand up to your head, quietly wincing at the throbbing pain.

Ever since you found out the Navy was on its way, you'd been experiencing fluctuating, mind-numbing headaches, each one more painful than the last.

You knew it couldn't be due to an injury.

'My body would've healed it by now...'

And it wasn't like you were hungry or dehydrated.

'I just had some meat and a stein of water...'

So what was it?

Your mind burned with another wave of pain, the throb so sudden and sharp you nearly bit through your tongue trying to muffle your whine.
