The night was serene, illuminated by the gentle glow of the moonlight reflecting off the surface of the swimming pool. You and Kyung Jun sat on the edge of the pool, your feet dipped into the cool water.

You knew your time was running out. You'd made a decision, a sacrifice. But as you sat there with him, you tried to push those thoughts away, focusing instead on the warmth of his hand around yours and the comforting sound of his voice.

He was oblivious to your plan, unable to notice your conflicting gaze. He smiled softly, enjoying the simple pleasure of your company. You tried to smile, to join in his unawareness, but your mind was flooded with the impending fate.

As you both sat in a comfortable silence, you felt the words rising in your throat. Three words, eight letters. A declaration of love that you longed to express. But you hesitated, unsure of how he would react.

"The moon," you point, gaze drifting out the window. "It reminds me of you."

He smiles at the sentiment. "Why's that?" he asks, curious about what you're gonna say.

He turns to you, his eyes reflecting the moon's soft glow. Instead of speaking, he just lets out a smile, his expression saying more than words could.

Would he understand your sacrifice?

Finally, unable to contain your emotions any longer, you turned to him, eyes glistening with unshed tears. "I love you," you whispered, your voice trembling with emotion.

He turned his gaze away from the window, confusion clouding his features. "I love you too," he replied, but there was a hint of uncertainty in his voice, as if he sensed that there was something you weren't telling him.

You wanted to explain, to tell him everything you're about to do, but you knew that it was a bad idea. Instead, you leaned forward and kissed him gently, savoring the taste of his lips against yours, knowing that it might just be your last kiss.

After a moment, he pulled back slightly, concern etched on his face. "We should go hide," he urged. "It's getting late, let's go."

You hesitated, your heart aching at his words. "I have to talk to someone," you lied. "But I promise, I'll be back before midnight."

He tried to protest, but you insisted. "I'll be fine," you assured him, your eyes meeting his with unwavering resolve. "I'll see you tomorrow, I promise."

He nodded, though the worry in his eyes didn't fade. "If you're not back by then, I'll come looking for you," he promised.

As you watched him walk away, you knew that you had to stay strong. For him, for yourself, and for the love that you knew would never fade, no matter what fate had in store for you.

As you wipe away the tears and slip your soaked feet back into your school shoes, you gather yourself and leave the room. Just as you step into the hallway, you spot Da Beom, his presence feeling like a twisted stroke of fate. Quietly, you follow him as he turns corners and walks down the hallways, his steps echoing in the silent night.

Finally, he reaches the bathroom on the highest floor, and he opens a cubicle. Your heart races as you approach, and when you peek inside, your worst fears are confirmed. The cubicle holds a collection of murder weapons, glinting ominously in the dim light. Without thinking, you push Da Beom out of the cubicle, demanding to take a closer look.

"I knew it!" you exclaimed. "I should've voted for you, you're disgusting."

"I had a feeling..." you laugh and shake your head, grabbing the knife in the bucket.

You turn around, he's not on the ground anymore. Instead, he's right infront of you, so close you can feel the warmth radiating off him, but it isn't warming you. Your skin turns ice cold, your hairs stand as you slowly look at him, his expression blank, eerie.
