chapter eight—my father?
Cops were surrounding the building. Adeline was kinda freaked out she hoped Percy was okay.
They could see there was an explosion on the top arch where Percy was fighting. That's why there are all those cops.
Inez comforted Adeline "It's fine! I'm sure he's okay." Adeline sighed. Grover whispers to his friends "The cops are looking at us... I think they think we did this!"
Adeline looked at the cops then quickly back at her friends but all she cared about is Percy if he was alive or not but she knew he was. "Let's go find Percy! I know he's alive" They left the 'crime scene' and went to find Percy.
They looked around and called his name they were on a bridge where Percy fell.
Adeline then saw him at the end of the bridge she sighed in relief. She and the others walked up to him.
"Look... I'm sorry for shoving you into the stairwell! I just knew you wouldn't agree with me and as I'm saying this I know it sounds really bad-" Percy said but he was interrupted
Adeline went straight to him and just hugged him she didn't care about anything he did as long as he was okay.
He stopped talking and held Adeline hugging her back. "You're not as dead as we thought you'd be," Inez said.
"Surprise." Percy said as Adeline smiled pulling away from the hug. "Okay, so what happened??" Annabeth said.
Percy spoke "Well a short version we need to go to Santa Monica. My father's gonna meet me there. He's gonna help us"
They were a little surprised.
Grover stuttered in confusion "Okay.. uh just one problem with this plan. The police think that we crashed an Amtrak train and then did that!" Grover said pointing.
"So the cops are after us??" Percy said. Grover nodded softly. So I guess they couldn't take any trains or anything! It was time to start walking.
They started to walk. It's probably been an hour into the walk. "Guys I think this quest is gonna be harder than we thought... I mean none of us took the master bolt! We're pretty sure Hades has the monster bolt but he couldn't have stolen it himself! Someone took it and we don't know who!" Percy said.
