Happy New Year....

Payu stared long at Rain. Before he could do anything, he was clasped around the waist. An unexpected hug which sent shivers through his entire body. He didn't know what was happening or why but he liked it. Rain   smiled as he pulled away. Time seemed to stop at this moment. He shut the door. Rain held his hands as he brought him inside the house. It was awfully quiet but he didn't mind. Payu got a bottle of wine and presented it to Rain. He opened it and they took sips from it. He needed to tell him, it was important he told him everything. He hesitated at first but knew that if Rain didn't know everything, it would cause a drift. He already promised to protect him, the worst that could happen is him leaving him. He thought about this from a perspective of care and made up his mind " listen, there's something I want to tell you. It would put a rift in everything that has to do with us but..."
" You're the killer years ago. You missed a shot and that is where we are now.. I know. I'm just shocked you're confident enough to want to tell me."
Payu moved away from the couch in stupefaction. His entire body went numb. Cold sweats formed around his  head. " How.... How...." He stammered, unable to get the word out.
"I met with Mr Taytie and he told me everything. There's absolutely nothing money cannot buy."
" He was willing to tell you? Why?"
" Because I have a share in his company and that is all he cares about, the profits. I paid him a bit to lay off you for some time." There was this confident aura he possessed that made him look like he was in charge
" You did what!"
" He gave you to me. Promised me the best services. He has to tell me everything. I'm not angry not one bit but I think we have a lot to talk about." Rain gobbled down the drink. He felt it going into his system and it was quite hot. It was a spirit after all. He took another and another. This doing in silence. He looked at Payu while he drank. He had taken about six shots before he finally spoke " I know the craziness that's going to come out of your mouth would probably cause my heart to fail me so I need to be as tipsy as possible."
"Rain?" Rain heaved before he answered " Yes, talk to me."
" I am part of an organization...."
" I don't want to hear all this. What does he have on you?"
" The information of my family."
" Is Sky also a part of this?"
" Yes he is. He.... He has dirt on both of us so he can use it against us."
" He knows the where about of your families and he's keeping it a secret?"
" Yes, also tells us that if we do anything he is going to kill them before we ever get to see them so we did ever he wanted till we became what we are today."
" I'm pretty sure I'm the first person you've told this to."
" You're the only person that has gotten this close to me, ever... Apart from...."
" Let's leave it that way." Rain didn't want to hear any other name most especially Sky's. For some reason he felt like his rival. Not a rival in the sense that he was trying to take his man. But a rival in experience. If they were to have a quiz about Payu, he had no chance and this hurt him a bit inside. He wanted to win Payu's heart for sure. He found his thought process  filled with jealousy but he couldn't help it. All of a sudden he turned to Payu, this time his eyes were already drooping. The alcohol had taken effect. He had a large grin on his face as he closed one eye and opened the other interchangeable and playfully. His head dropped and he raised it over and over. Payu didn't need to be told that the show was over as Rain was gone. He stood up to leave but Rain dragged him back to sit very close to him. He struggled to find his collar as he was quite tipsy but did eventually.
"You are one cunning man Payu. How dare you do this to me... I was on my own... And you did this." Payu knowing this was coming from a drunk man still took it seriously..
" What did I do?"
" What's your best food?"
" Huh ? "
" What's your best food?"
" Stewed eggs and rice."
" Does Sky know this?"
" Yes he does."
" Then this is an invalid question... "
He bent his head as if to think of something else. Payu removed the hairs stuck on his face so he could see him properly. He found his behavior endearing and cute.
" What's your favorite boxer colour?"
" What?"
" I'm very sure Sky doesn't know this."
" Rain, you're not in any competition with Sky. Its navy blue though. And Sky doesn't know this."
" Yay..."
" There's something else though."
" What... tell me..."
" I only have kissed one person with emotion and that is you." This statement was a two edged sword because back in the training camp they had to be paired. Tha art of seduction was taught and each had to use it on their partners. Payu only sought for comfortability so he picked his best friend Sky. It entailed a lot. It was a memory they both didn't talk about. There as so much they didn't talk about.
Now Payu just smiled at Rain, the first person his heart beat for at least he knew this much.
Payu's phone rang, seeing it was Sky, he left the room to answer it.
" What's up?"
" Let's travel?"
" Okay!"
" You have no idea where and you're just accepting?"
" We have to restrategize and keeping them safe is the best option for us and I know."
"Know what?"
" You're beginning to fall for him. I can tell.
