The good mood Barnes had in the previous meeting after Stiles rambles at him disappears the next day. Stiles tries not to let it bring his good mood down. The strokes of the pen against the pad of paper on Barnes' side of the table are harsher than normal.

Stiles lets this go on for a solid ten minutes before he brings attention to Barnes. There have been times when the other man didn't realize he was being so obvious with his emotions and other times he was. Well, obvious to Stiles. He's pretty good at reading body language of spies now. Yay.

"So, how are you feeling today?"

Barnes makes a face, stops writing, and looks up at Stiles with an incredulous look. "What?"

One of the days he is not aware, then. Stiles continues typing on his computer, taking pressure off. Barnes is allowed to have bad days. "You seem agitated. I just didn't know if it was an agitation that I could help with."

Barnes huffs and goes back to drawing. "Sorry." Stiles stops typing, slowly raises an eyebrow, and looks up at Barnes. The man rolls his eyes, having heard Stiles' rant about non-necessary apologies and allowing himself to feel all ranges of emotions many, many times. "Steve and Natalia went on a mission."

Stiles narrows his eyes for a few more seconds, before resuming typing and dropping his gaze back to his computer screen. That explains the mood. There's only been one Assemble call since Barnes and he really began to communicate, and Stiles can draw the parallels.

When Barnes doesn't continue his train of thought, Stiles offers an olive branch. "Well, you can come hang out with me and the gang tonight. It'll just be me, Derek, Kira, and Scott. They can tell you way more embarrassing stories that we couldn't get into that first night since Jane and Darcy were there."

"What do you mean?"

Stiles snorts. "Trust me. The percentage of dumb shit we've done skyrockets when you factor in the supernatural. I already told Scott and Kira who knew about us so they didn't give you the good stories."

Barnes stares at him in disbelief. "You're serious."

"As a heart attack," he replies firmly. "Seriously. Ask what happened at our Christmas party our sophomore year in undergrad then look at Derek's expression."

After Stiles wraps up his paragraph and saves everything, he suggests they go ahead and head to the apartment. He thinks Barnes needs a distraction more than a session at the moment. Scott and Kira were going to stick around anyway since the weather was rainy.

When they walk into the apartment, Scott is doing a handstand on the coffee table while Kira films on his phone. Derek tosses popcorn into Scott's mouth from the other couch. Both Stiles and Barnes stop in the doorway.

"Well aren't we are own little circus," Stiles comments lightly.

"I'm making a TikTok!"

Stiles rolls his eyes. "I don't know what deity has decided to bless us, but the fact that the supernatural hasn't come out of the proverbial closet from social media stupidity is a miracle."
