Stiles stares at his father, his brain not computing what exactly is happening.

"Blink, son," John says wryly.

"You guys got here sooner than expected," Stark tells them, checking his phone. "I thought it was going to take at least a week."

"The fuck you say!" Stiles shouts, looking around to see who else was in on this shit. Derek, Scott, and Kira look as surprised as he does. The rest of the members in the room do as well, even Barnes. Steve just looks like a smug little shit.

"Who... why..." Stiles trails off, still trying to figure out what his life has become. "Just... all the interrogative nouns. All of them!"

"Why is an adverb," Natasha chimes in.

"It can be a noun," he hisses at her, marching forward and dragging his father away from the clearly bad influences. His father knows what he's doing and just snorts. Stiles backs up so he can see his father properly. "You. Here. Why."

"Me caveman," Stark grunts mockingly. Stiles absolutely chunks a pillow at his face that he can't duck.

John holds up a hand to stave off the rest of his well-earned hissy fit. "Steve and Natasha came to Beacon Hills and tried to sneak around. It didn't work. Jordan can tell you all about it and the money he lost." Derek snorts at that, always enjoying any time he can hold one over the hellhound. "I decided to come see you for a few days since it's been awhile."

Stiles crosses his arms and glares between Stark, Steve, and Natasha.

"Wait wait wait," Stark says, looking at Steve and Natasha in glee. "You two got caught? The super spies?"

"Can we focus on the important shit right now instead of that fuckery?" Stiles snaps.

John cringes a bit. "Can you curb the language?"

Stiles' hands drop to his hips. He and his father engage in a small staring contest before Stiles snaps at Scott, not taking his eyes off his father. "Scottie! What was my first word when I learned to talk?"

"Uh, fuck?" Scott says, trying to go along with Stiles' line of questioning. There are scattered snickers throughout the room but Stiles ignores them.

"Why?"

Scott nods, a small 'ah' escaping before he clears his throat, voice taking on a reciting note. "Because your dad was in the army for years and hadn't gotten out of the habit of swearing when you were little and you were incredibly impressionable."

Stiles gestures grandly to his father, who rolls his eyes.

"I still don't know where you learned the drama because it wasn't from me or your mother."

He snorts, pointing to Derek. The wolf takes a few moments to notice. "What," he growls. "I do not--"
