New Home (Outcast Pt.2)

Tails looked over his shoulder at Cream. "Yeah.. I can't sleep.. Not after.." He trailed off. "Sorry.. I didn't mean to.." She said before hiding under the blanket. "It's fine.. What's keeping you up?.." He asked. "I.. I guess I just feel.. A bit hyper.." She said trying to find the words. "Alright.." He said before shifting over to her. She suddenly blushed and felt awkward as he pulled her into an embrace and she felt his tails wrap around her. "Umm Tails?.." She started before he interrupted. "Don't worry.. Just relax a bit okay?.." She thought for a moment and snuggled against him admittedly enjoying it. "Alright.." She answered. She felt her heartbeat slow and after a few minutes her eyelids began to feel heavy. "Tails.. Your aura.. It's.. Comforting.." She said confusing him. "Shh..." He said moving his hand and brushing her ear. She fell asleep a few seconds later and he kept brushing her ear just in case although he found it helped soothe him somehow. The room was too dark to see but he could feel something in there watching him. He couldn't see anything but he thought could feel them somewhere. He dismissed it and after a few more minutes he slowly let go of Cream and She remained asleep as he moved away and he laid back facing the ceiling with thoughts going through his head. *Can I really just stay here with them?.. I.. I'm already catching feelings.. I think they're only going to grow..* He thought to himself before turning over. * I don't know anything else I can do and everything still hurts.. When she was talking all the pain left.. but now it's slowly returning.. They definitely don't seem bad but... I can't shake off the feeling that.. I know these two.. But from where?..* He laid down on his side looking at Cream and began to feel himself drifting off. *They don't seem very good with technology so I guess I can help them with that at least..* He thought to himself. He had never thought of his second Tail as a curse but instead blamed his intelligence. He had always been good with electronics and even preferred them to people after his parents died. They were part of the village's defense. When they were alive he had little problems with other villagers and his dad even taught him a few ways to fight. He had always had a high pain tolerance similar to his dad while his mother had one higher than most but not as either of them. He could remember his dad teaching him ways to fight and even their hobby of building stuff together in the workshop. The only reminder he had now was an chip in his ear that Cream had noticed and an old broken watch he almost always kept hidden in his Tails. He was there when his parents died. He blinked a few times before falling asleep.

Miles was running through the Village and a few leaves flew past. The village alarm went off so they where under attack. He reached the front gate and saw his parents and some of the other villagers defending it. His dad was wrestling with a robot and another one approached from behind. He ran over and span around knocking away the approaching robot with his Tails.
"Miles!.. Stay in the Village!.. It's safe!.." He heard his mother call out. "Only relatively!.. I want to help anyway!.. " He responded before scrambling up the back of another robot and wrapping his Tails around it's head and jumping off and throwing the robot at a tree. "Don't worry Rosemary! I taught him personally!." His dad said before stepping to the side and using the robots own force to throw it onto the ground. "Watch out!.. " He heard his mother call out before a tree fell over in front of him. He covered his eyes from the dust and when it faded he saw a robot with a chainsaw cutting down the trees. The tree began to fall and he ran over and pushed the tree the other direction so it landed on the robot. He took a moment to catch his breath but suddenly fell on his knee as he felt something hit his leg. *A dart?..* He thought as he looked down at it. He ripped it out and felt a sudden surge of anger. He began to stand up and everything seemed to momentarily phase out before he suddenly found himself standing on the path with a bunch of robot parts littered around everywhere. "Mom?.. Dad?.. " He called out looking around. He walked over into the trees and was paralyzed by what he saw.

He woke up covered in sweat and with his heart racing. The light was on and he saw Cream sitting up with her hand on his arm. He sat up holding his head and she asked "Are you.. Okay?.." She reached out to put her hand on his forehead. He slapped it away on accident due to a sudden rush and the emotions he felt. "S-Sorry.. I was just.. Worried.." She said looking down feeling bad. He felt a tinge of regret but it was quickly buried by his emotions again. "I.. I let them die.." He said out loud. "W-What?.." Cream said caught off guard by the sudden statement. "My parents.. That's what the Village thought.." He said with his hands beginning to shake. "Tails?.. You.." She started but trailed off unsure how to comfort him. "I'm just a monster.." He said facing away from her. "Tails you aren't!.." She started again but trailed off as he looked back at her. "Then what am I?.. I'm sure you would definitely know.. After all you definitely know how it feel to watch both of your parents die in front of you when you can't do anything.. How it feels to be betrayed by an entire village.. To be all alone for years until you get chased out because nobody cares about you.." He said causing her to go silent. "You can't even say..." He said suddenly growing a feeling of loneliness and anger again. He noticed her start crying and he looked back down at the floor and took a few breaths trying to calm down. He was caught off guard as Cream wrapped her arms around his neck and said. "I don't care if you think you're a monster.. You aren't.. If you really think you are then.. You can be my monster now.. So just.. Talk to me.. Please.." She said still crying. He felt oddly calmed and began to feel guilty for snapping out at her. "I.. I watched my parents die again.. The same nightmare I've been having for months.. I thought I would forget about it yesterday.. Even just for once.. Even just a few minutes.. But I can't.. " He said beginning to cry not even bothering trying to hide it. "Tails.. I think that there's some things that shouldn't be forgotten.. If you haven't forgotten it then you probably shouldn't.. I've only seen someone die once.. It was my Chao.. Cheese.. It was just a month ago.. I can't forget him.. Ever.. My mother told me something.. Grief is natural.. If you're still so sad about it then that only means that you loved.. No.. You love them still.." She said trying to comfort him. " And You're not Alone anymore.. I'm here for you.. Because you're my friend now.. Mother will help in any way she can.. I just want you to know that.." He hesitated "My.. My Name... My Real Name.. It.. It's Miles.. Miles Prower" He said with his voice cracking. "That's a great name.. Miles.." She said holding him tightly. "I.. I'm Sorry Cream.. I snapped out at you.. And the only things you've done since we met were to help me.. " He said tearing up again. "It's Alright.. I understand you didn't want to.." She said letting him go as he turned around to face her. "No.. It's not okay.. I lost control of my emotions.. I didn't even consider how you felt.." He said avoiding looking at her. "It's alright Tails.. Hey.. Look at me.." She said putting her hand on his cheek. He looked up at her with tears falling his eyes and still forming. She wiped them away and said "It's alright.. You're no monster.. You're a fox.. A Special.. Smart and Handsome fox.." She said with her own tears from before beginning to dry up. "C-Cream.. I.. Alright.. I'm no monster but.. Can I still be yours?.." He asked hesitantly. He grew a blush and was surprised as she leaned over and kissed him. He looked at her and her eyes were closed as she kissed him. He felt her hand grab his and he returned the kiss and tightened his hands grip. They were stuck like that for a minute or two before Cream broke the kiss and hugged him tightly. He returned the hug feeling a weird new warmth and Cream relaxed as his Tails began to wrap around her. "I love you Tails.. Or.. Should I call you Miles?.. They're both cute names.." She asked as he began to brush her ear. "I think I'll go with whichever you want.. After all.. You haven't done anything to hurt me so far.." He said tightening his grip on her as if she would just suddenly get all slippery and he would lose her. "Alright My Tailsy.." She said before looking back up at him and kissing him again. He felt comfortable and couldn't help but wonder how she felt. She reached up and began brushing one of his ears feeling excitement and curiosity. She noticed how he kept an eye partially open to watch her and she winked at him before keeping her eyes closed and continuing to kiss him. After a few seconds he closed his eyes too and laid back down on the bed. *You're really something special..*
