Shackled (Cracks Pt.2)

Tails shot up in his bed. He checked his watch and let out a gasp of relief. It's only 1:00.." He said before standing up. A stinging feeling shot up his arm and he held it for a few moments until the feeling subsided. He looked out the window and noticed a pair of flickies on his window. On of them nestled against the other who in turn returned it. A few moments passed then they flew away. He looked down and quietly thought to himself about how it had felt when he hugged Cream. He remembered how soft and warm she had felt and remembered how relaxed she had seemed even after. He shook his head before getting up. "No.. Don't think about that.. Just gotta go over there and get her.. "

He waited outside the door patiently holding his arm. The door opened and Cream could tell something was off as she seen him. Her gaze shifted to the arm he was holding and noticed the Cloth wrapped around his palm. "Cream?.. Are you ready to go?.." He repeated bringing her back to reality. "Y-Yes.. It's Just..." She paused for a second before asking "Are you okay?.." He looked up at her and replied "Yeah?.. Why wouldn't I be?.." He asked with his ears leaning to the side confused. "I just thought.." She trailed off. "It's nothing.." She said walking over and taking his hand. "Let's go Tails." She said changing the topic. He felt his hand stinging as she held it but also felt a comforting warmth. He subconsciously tensed his hand slightly due to the pain and Cream didn't seem to notice as they began to leave. "Cream Dear!.. Wait!.." Vanilla said walking out. She brought out a small bag. "You almost forgot this.." Vanilla said handing it to her. "Oh.. I didn't notice.." She said taking it and throwing it over her shoulder before grabbing Tails' hand again. "Make sure you have fun!.. And Tails.. Do watch her.." She said causing him to feel slightly uncomfortable by her slight change in tone. He quickly replied "I intend to.. Miss Vanilla.." He said slightly on edge. "Good.. Have fun you two.." She said with her voice going back to normal. He relaxed slightly and Cream pulled on his arm. "Tails?.. Come on!.." She said as he looked over.. "Alright then.." He said following her.

Tails felt awkward as they walked up to the entrance. He was never really a talker so he was partially hoping that Cream might talk for him. The person at the booth was a bronze furred female fox. Her ears seemed to perk up as she noticed them and she said "Aren't you two just the cutest... A bunny and a fox holding hands.." She said reminding both of them they were holding hands. "Oh thanks for the Compliment Miss!.. I think you look great as well.." Cream replied slightly blushing thinking about how she called her and Tails a couple. "Aww.. Thanks.. Here's your tickets... Go up to the Pink hedgehog over there and she'll give you your bracelets."She said pointing past her in a direction. "Pink.. Hedgehog?.."Tails said with his eyes widening in shock. He groaned inwardly as he spotted Amy standing next to another booth which had bracelets on more posters around it. He quickly grabbed the tickets and followed Cream as she dragged him along over to Amy who waved at them from her booth. She seen Tails and Cream and asked "Aww.. Are you two on a date?.." She asked looking at their tickets. "I'm just.. Keeping Cream Company.." Tails said awkwardly. "Oh really?.. I don't think so.." Amy said teasing them again. "Alright.. I just need you two to close your eyes while I put these on.. It's the policy.."Amy explained. Tails felt something tighten around his glove and assumed Cream felt the Same thing. "Alright.. You can open your eyes.." Amy said taking a few footsteps back. He opened his eyes and noticed the chain on the bracelet. It took him a second to realize his arm was now cuffed to Cream's. "Um.. I.. Don't know about this.." He said uncertainly. "You two will be fine.. By wearing these you both have full access to everything here but you can't get anymore than a few feet from each other.. " Amy said giving Tails an evil smile. "So.. We're just stuck like this when we're here?.." Cream asked. "Yep.. Have fun!.. I have to help others here so I can't stay and talk.."She said before walking away and waving back. "For some reason this gives me extreme Deja Vu.." Tails said out loud. "I'm sure it's nothing.."Cream replied partially excited. "I guess this is what I get for not reading the tickets.." Tails muttered causing her to slightly lose her nerve. *I hope he doesn't just hate my company..* She walked over in front of him and said "Well.. Do you have an idea on where to go first?.." She asked taking care not to accidentally pull the chain. He put on a smile and looked around for somewhere she might like to go and spotted a aquarium, a Giant half sunk pirate ship he was sure they could easily navigate by flying and a giant ball pit close to them.

Tails began to feel thankful for the Chain because he could no longer lose track of Cream in the Ball Pit. She hid under for a few seconds before he dug down and fished her out winning. She laughed as he got her and they shared a hug for a few seconds hearing how quiet it was. Cream began to talk and said "I.. Don't think I.." But she trailed off as another familiar pair jumped into the Ball Pit.. " Geez Silver.. You're such a kid sometimes.." Blaze said getting up from having been dragged in. Tails suddenly had an idea and grabbed her and dove to the side burying them both under. Cream seemed to struggle slightly unable to see having not expected him to do that. He held onto her and pulled her over to the wall with a hole that led into another section. After a few seconds they reached a ledge to climb and Tails climbed up before helping her up. One her her shoes slid on a ball and she feel down pulling him along into a Pool of cold water surrounding the pirate ship. He joined her at the surface and thought she might get upset about her dress but unexpectedly she began laughing and pulled him into a hug. He paused before he began uncontrollably laughing with her. A few balls from the ball pit floated around them and one of them landed on his head unexpectedly. He rubbed his head with his free hand still smiling and said "I guess this is our next destination.. " She nodded and said "Yep.. " While closely floating against him. "Sorry about your dress.." He said uncomfortably. "It's alright.. It'll dry out.." She said seemingly unfazed before pulling him into a hug. He floated in place for a second before he pulled her into an equally tight hug of his own. A minute or so passed before Tails let go and Cream went with it. He said "That.. I didn't mean to.. " He was cut off as she kissed him and he hesitantly shifted his gaze back over to her. He could notice her bright red face even though they were soaked and could partially feel his own blush. He Hesitated for a few moments before he closed his eyes and hugged her. He lost track of time as they held the kiss and felt her stifled surprise for a moment. Eventually they broke apart for air and he used his tails to push them towards a ledge in the water.  Cream was uncomfortably quiet and he felt her tension. "Cream.. Do you really?.." He trailed off avoiding eye contact. She shifted around hiding her face and he felt his doubts grow in her silence. "It's okay.. You don't need to tell me.." He eventually said after the large moment of silence. He carefully climbed up the ledge still holding onto her hand. He turned around to help her up and was again greeted by a hug. He remained silent waiting for her to talk and she quietly spoke. "I.. I'm not.. Forcing you into this.. Am I?.." She expressed while avoiding eye contact. "N.. No.. You're just.. Giving me a chance.." He trailed off realizing the way he worded it was weird. Cream didn't seem to care and only held him tighter. He could sense her uncertainty and gently wrapped his arms around her and setting his hand on her ear. She shifted around and he could tell she was tempted to do something. She grabbed his hand from off her ear and gently caressed it for a few seconds before she asked. "What.. Happened to your hand?.." He hesitated then awkwardly replied. "I.. Was caught up in my thoughts last night and.. Ended up punching the mirror.." He looked away awkwardly and felt her messing with the cloth he had tied around his palm. He felt it tighten and looked over surprised. She was in the process of tying her blue tie around his glove and she finished making sure it was tied tight. "It should hold until mother can try and help.. that is.. Unless you want to stay... " She awkwardly trailed off turning away with the cuffs slightly shaking. "I don't know.. Unless you want to get into a dry or warm dress I don't see any reason to leave yet.." He said grabbing hold of her hand as he walked over next to her. "Alright.. But.. What are we now?.." She asked feeling troubled. "We're exactly the same as before.. But.. " He paused before he whispered into her ear uncertainly. "I wouldn't mind calling you my Girlfriend.." He said before turning back away. "Maybe.. Just think about it.. No rush.." He added uncomfortably looking back over for a reaction. He was caught off guard seeing her crying and he quickly stepped over and she pulled him in a close hug still silently crying. He was unsure whether he said the wrong thing or he had disappointed her somehow so he asked. " What's wrong?.. Cream?.." He asked growing more concerned by the moment. "Yes.. Yes.. Yes.." She began repeating as she buried his head against his fur and held him tightly. He felt himself growing red and he knew it was certainly apparent due to his wet fur just like it was for Cream. "Yes.. Tails... Yes.." She finally trailed off breaking the hug. He reached down at the chain that linked them and he said "Cream.. This chain.." He started before he hesitated. "it was all your idea wasn't it?.." He asked suddenly realizing. "You and Amy set this all up for.. No.. Blaze and Silver where here.. You two set it up for everyone.. That's why it's mostly empty.." He said noticing the lack of people. Cream laughed to herself for a second before she snuggled against him. "Does it really make a difference?.." She asked curious how he felt. "Yes.. That.. That's a lot of work to do.." He said before pulling her into a hug.

"I.. I really love you.. Cream.."

"I love you too Tails.. My foxy boyfriend.."
