Chapter 5
"You really expect me to believe that Vi?"

You woke by your alarm going off. You tilted your head up trying to look at the time and saw it was 8:30 AM.

"Shit. Shit!" You said while jumping out of bed you made your way over to your closet to pick an outfit.

You decided to just go simple just grey sweatpants and a black hoodie with white Nike air forces. You took your silver hoop earrings and put your hair in a ponytail.

You made your way over to the mirror to take a look at yourself. You touched your cheek were the blue mark was left from last night. You sighed making your way out of your room towards your car.

As you arrived at school you ran to your biology class. You ran through the door and everyone turned around when you entered you felt a wave of embarrassment spread across your face.

"Miss Adams, so glad you could join us. Join a group of people that are not with five people already." She said to me with a serious look. I nodded and looked around to see Lucas, Cody, Amelia and Luna in a group of four so you decided to make your way over and ask if you could join them.

"Hey can I join you guys?" I asked the group they all turned to me. "Of course." Amelia said giving me a smile.

I went to stand next to Lucas, he turned around to look at me and he was analyzing my face. "What happened?" He asked me pointing to my cheek. Everybody turned towards me to look at my face.

"Are you okay?" Luna asked in a worrying tone.

"What happened?" Cody and Amelia asked at the same time.

I quickly raised my hand over my cheek. "Nothing." I said looking back at the project. "You sure?" Lucas questioned.

I looked back up at him. "Yeah I'm sure." I said more reassuring this time and gave him a smile but still with a worried look on his face.

"You can tell me if somethings wrong. I won't tell anyone I promise." Lucas whispered into my ear. "No I'm fine, really I am. I said giving him a smile. He just smiled back and we continued with the project.

I couldn't stop thinking about how caring Lucas was for me he only knew me a day and he was already so sweet they all were they cared for me. A little smile formed onto your face by those thoughts.

"So Violet what were you and Cole talking about yesterday. When you were smoking pot please we want to know. And don't tell us it was nothing again." Amelia said coming to stand in front of me with a smirk on her face.

"What?" Lucas questioned looking into my eyes.

"I mean we were just talking about normal stuff." I said looking at them.

"About?" Amelia questioned.

"He just asked if he could have a puff and about something that happened this summer." I said.

"But please can we not talk about him." I added.

"Fine but we know your hiding something Violet Adams." They said with a smile on their faces.

I chuckled and rolled my eyes before we started again on our group project. As we were doing the project I sometimes caught Lucas eyes on me but I just ignored it and kept working.
