Chapter 9
"What are you doing?"

As I arrived at school and started making my way through hallways towards my next class I bumped into someone. "Wow, Vi watch out were your walking." Cole said with a smirk on his face. "Yeah sorry." I said looking up at him.

"Where are you going to?" He asked me tilting his head. "To class." I said holding up my schedule. He took the schedule out of my hands.

"Tet me see." He said dragging his finger over the paper to see where I needed to go. He started walking away and then he turned back around to look at me. "You coming?" He asked looking at me. He turned back around and started walk behind him.

"What are you doing?" I asked him. "I'm walking you to class." He said giving me a smile. "Um okay." I said in a confusing tone.

We made our through the halls until be got into the classroom where I had to be. "You seriously going to follow me all the way to my spot." I said while turning my head. He just smiled and kept following me.

"Hey guys." I greeted the girls as they greeted me back Grace looked over her shoulder seeing Cole standing next to her.

As I got to my spot between Kiley and Jackie I looked at Cole.

"Guess I'll see you after school, Vi?" He said. Kiley looked over at Cole and Grace at Maddison. "Maybe." I said playful. He smirked at me.

"Ladies." Cole said while turning around heading towards the door as Grace's gaze lingered on Cole following him to the door with her mouth open.

She chuckles.

"Oh my god. I can't believe it!" She said to me with her mouth still half open.

"What?" I questioned her. "Violet, the god of all guys was just flirting with you and I'm pretty sure you did too." She said excited.

"I still don't get it. I mean, there are plenty of good-looking guys around. What makes him think he could just have anyone?" Jackie said. While I kept my eyes on Cole who was talking with some random girl in the doorway.

"Okay. Jackie, you can't define it, Okay? But you can't ignore it. It's like I told you okay, It's the Cole effect and Violet has fallen for it." She said her eyes on me with a smile on her face but I didn't look at her my gaze kept lingering on Cole who was talking with a random girl.

I looked at Grace. "That's ridiculous. I have not fallen for the Cole-effect okay." I said while looking back at the blond haired boy who still stood in the doorway.

"If he isn't so special, why can't you keep your eyes off him." She said with a smile on her face.

"What?" I said to Kiley turning my gaze to her then looking at Grace and Jackie.

Grace and Kiley started laughing. "Yeah, That's the Cole effect, okay?" Grace said with a big smile spread across her face.

I half-laughed turning my gaze to the painting in front of me.

"Don't be embarrassed we've all had a Cole Walter crush." Grace said.

"Not, all of us." Kiley said.

"Yeah and I don't have a crush on him either." Jackie said.

"What about you Violet. You can't seem to take his eyes off of him." Grace asked me as Jackie and Kiley's gaze shifted towards me.

"Okay, I'll admit he's cuet, but that's it. I never could be in love with him." I answered her questioning after looking on more time at Cole.

"Deny it all you want, but I see you Violet." Grace said starting to paint further.

I looked over at Jackie seeing her smile and blush while working on her painting.

"Nice hair Jackie." You said giving the girl a smile. "Thanks." She said.

As third period had just ended you arrived at your other class. You go sit down in your chair and looked outside the window. "Can I sit here." A voice said. You turn around to see Danny standing next to your table. "Yeah go ahead." I said pointing at the chair next to me.

"Where's Cole?" I asked Danny while looking around the class. "I don't know. The last time I saw him was this morning." He said looking at me. "Oh okay." You said giving him a smile and turning your face towards the front of the classroom.

"Okay class listen up. We have 15 more minutes before this period ends. So I would like to announce you have to do a group project in groups of two. The partner you will be assigned to is the person sitting next to you." The teacher said to the whole class. "For your group project you have to talk about a famous historical person." The teacher added.

I looked at Danny and smiled. "I guess your my partner." I said. "I guess so." He said giving me a smile. "So you know any historical famous person we can do our project about?" You asked him.

"Yeah, maybe Shakespear." Danny said. "If that is okay with you." He added. Of course he would choose Shakespeare what else could have thought he is into drama and plays and the most famous plays come for Shakespeare himself like Romeo and Juliet or Hamlet.

"Yeah of course." I said.

"So what will we talk about." Danny asked.

"Maybe mostly about his plays because that's what he's most famous for." I said. "Yeah sure easy, I know all of his plays." He answered.

"Yeah I figured." I said half-laughing. He started laughing to. We started looking on the internet for information about Shakespear.

We didn't have to look up that much because Danny knew almost everything and I mean everything about that man.

"Okay so the bell is about too ring class. I need you guys to finish this for next week." The teacher announced as class was about to end.

"Maybe we can finish this today at someone's house." He said looking at me. "Um, yeah sure." I answered. "My house?" Danny asked.

"Yeah sure." I said happy we were doing it at his house because I didn't want to have someone over with my dad being around who knows how he would act.

"Come around five, okay?" Danny said. "Yeah that's okay." I said giving him a smile.

"Okay see you later than." Danny said standing up from his spot about to leave when the bell rang.

"Yeah see you later." You said packing your stuff.
