Chapter 4

"Leave, both of you out of here now" the librarian bark orders

I glare at manik who was looking at his arm that I smacked, this man plays competitive basketball on a national level land a small smack from a girl is making him scream like that.

He follows me out of the library glaring at the librarian, I was pissed at this point, where the hell am I supposed to go to study now?

"So why haven't you replied me?" He asks

"You just got me kicked out of the library and I am pissed at you so if you don't want me to kill you, leave"

He chuckles touching my cheek as I swat his hand away

"You are like a tomato, red and round" he says

"Manik I swear to god"

"Fine fine, I need to know what to work on. I mean I have the topic and I did do some work but you not replying is delaying this" he says

Manik and I got this project together in chemistry, it is a lab and lecture combined project, we have to come up with compounds and how they are used in the real world, you know the history of it all. The lab aspect is we have to make something out of it and we got strawberry.

"We are not delaying anything, I have it done" I lie

I have the idea, and some research done but not all of it

"Don't bullshit me, come on firefly"

"Quit calling me that" I snap

"Listen we need to figure it out, exams are coming up and I can't think straight, I have practice too so I need to know what we are doing"

"I can finish it for the both of us" I say

I expect him to just agree but he shakes his head

"I don't take anything from anyone, especially not when it comes to academics" he says

"Fine, sit" I say

He sits down in front of me as I grab the papers I had put my research on couple days ago

"I was thinking we make strawberry scent, like the smell of them in the lab or maybe a soap, using saponification" I tell him

He grabs the paper going through some of the suff and he wasn't jsut skimming he was actually reading which is a first. Didn't think the basketball captain was really into studies

"Soap would be cool, we can incorporate the smell in the soap anyways and we can us a strawberry mold" he chimes in

Dang, those are actually good ideas

"Sure" I mumble

"When is the best time to work on this together?" he asks

"I have Fridays and the weekend off" I tell him

"I have practice Friday evenings but I could do 8 on Fridays or I could do any time on the weekend"

"We can begin with Fridays at 8 and then we need more time we can pick it up not he weekends"

"That works, what's your number?' He asks

"Excuse you"

"Im not trying to hit on you firefly, I need to be able to reach you because someone can't keep her fingers working on discord"

I roll my eyes at him and his words, yanking his phone from his hand I find picture of him shirtless, I look up at him and he smirks

"Sexy right?" He asks
