SUNLIGHT POURED through auroras bedroom window, causing her to slowly awaken. she rubbed her eyes and sat up in bed, squinting before shutting the curtain.

ever since it happened, the only thing aurora could think of was gracie's gaze to her as she kissed hayes. it seemed like it was more than a look. gracie looked unsettled almost every time hayes laid a hand on her. all aurora wanted was for gracie to be safe.

her dilemma weighed heavily on her shoulders. she didn't know whether to say nothing and potentially let gracie feel harassed, or to say something, and disrupt the delicate equilibrium, risking a fight between her and gracie. aurora hated fighting.

aurora grabbed her phone from her bedside table and dialed her brothers number. he always had an answer to auroras 'silly little problems', but this time, she needed him to be serious.

"hello?" he answered.

"jace! hey, how are you?" aurora replied.

"i'm good aura, how are you?"

"um... i've got a problem."

aurora heard him laugh over the loudspeaker. "what's up?"

"i don't know what to do. you know gracie's boyfriend, right?" aurora asked

"yeah, i've been to some of his sets, why what is it?" jace questioned.

"i've got a bad feeling about him. i don't think he's good for gracie. yesterday i went to dinner with olivia and he was there, when he kissed gracie, she looked at me and she looked uncomfortable, like she didn't want him near her. i've always had this horrible feeling that he was a bad guy, and i don't know whether to ask gracie about it or keep my mouth shut because i hate fighting jace, i hate it." aurora rambled, spitting out everything she had on her mind all at once.

"okay," jace began, staying silent for a few moments.

"hello?!" aurora exclaimed.

"i'm thinking!" he sighed before beginning again. "aura, im honestly not sure."

"jace. i need solutions, not problems!"

"well, don't you think that it's kind of not really your place? i mean, it was just a look, aura. you may have just caught her at a bad time." jace responded.

aurora sighed, hanging her head in her hands as she put him on speaker. "but it's not just that, jace, he just gives off bad vibes! i just have a bad feeling about who he really is. it's eating me alive. i don't want gracie to get hurt."

"aurora, you can't go pointing fingers just because you have bad vibes."

aurora heaved a sigh of annoyance, falling back into her bed. "you're right jace. you're right. i can't just assume, can i?" aurora said, placing her phone on her chest.

"if you're going to make an accusation like this, you can't just base it off gracie's facial expression."

"you're right. i don't know what i'm going to do now, but i'm gonna go think."

"okay aura. good luck okay? i love you."

"i love you too jace, thank you."

"bye."

aurora grabbed her pillow and screamed into it. her brain would not let this feeling go. it was a bad feeling, but it was different than any other 'bad feeling' she had ever gotten before. she needed to do something.

a sudden vibration made aurora jump. it was gracie.
