"AURORA." JACE WHISPERED, SHAKING HIS SISTER LIGHTLY. aurora groaned, wincing at the bright light. "what the fuck jace," she complained, grabbing her phone. "it's two in the fucking morning!"

"shhhh!" he brought his finger to his mouth, returning to his phone call. "pack a bag," he said, pacing around the room. "we have to find a way to get rid of him, we can't just let him continue like this." jace continued his phone call, trying to organise auroras room before they left.

aurora was not yet aware that gracie knew what was going on. she was just happy to be with her brother.

"what is this? a kidnapping-" aurora joked, sitting up in bed.

"if you want to see gracie, you have to do this." jace interrupted. aurora stopped moving, her eyes widening.

"are you joking?"

jace shook his head, aurora scrambling to her feet.

"are we coming to la?" olivia spoke through the phone.

"no, that's too dangerous. hayes lives around here. he might find out." jace replied, watching his sister dash back and forth around her bedroom.

"you're right, you're right."

"we're coming to seattle. aura is already packing a bag, im gonna book a last minute flight and we will be in seattle by later today." jace explained.

"make sure nobody sees her." olivia demanded.

"i will make sure of it, i promise. is she going to the show?"

"i don't think that's a good idea. hayes might see her there, and everything will go to shit."

"i agree. we have to play it safe."

"aurora shouldn't come to the hotel, there's too many eyes here."

"i have some friends in seattle, ill make something work."

"can i talk to her?" aurora requested, putting a hoodie on.

jace nodded, handing the phone over. "liv?" aurora spoke.

"aurora, it's nice to hear your voice." olivia sighed with relief.

aurora heard gracie shuffle over the line. "is that her?" aurora heard her soft voice muffled through the phone. "yeah, come talk to her."

aurora gripped the phone tightly as she heard the shuffling on the line. she wasn't expecting to hear from her so soon, or at all.

"aurora?" gracie spoke softly.

"gracie! oh my god, gracie!" aurora exclaimed, tears of joy welling in her eyes. she could hear gracie laughing, a sweet, gentle laugh that she missed so dearly.

"aurora, i'm so glad to hear your voice," she replied. "i miss you so much."

"i miss you more. i'm sorry for everything that's happened-"

"stop," gracie interrupted. "it's not your fault, okay, don't apologise. i'm just glad i get to see you again."

"i thought i never would see you again. i would never do anything like that to you, gracie. i promise."

"i know you wouldn't, i'm sorry i believed him. i'm so sorry."

a single tear fell down auroras cheek. "i can't wait to see you. i missed you so much, im almost crying right now."

"me too."

the girls caught up for a few hours, many apologies and 'i miss you's in between their conversation.
