GRACIE AWOKE FROM HER SLUMBER, met with a face full of blonde locks. she swiped auroras hair from her face and sat up, the blondes arms falling off of her. she gazed over at aurora, lips slightly parted as her chest rose and fell. she tucked the hair behind auroras ears, a smile creeping onto gracie's face.

"creep," aurora muttered, stretching her body. gracie jumped. "watching me sleep you stalker?" aurora teased.

gracie giggled through frightened breathing. "no. well yes but-"

"relax. it's cute," aurora interrupted, sitting up and rubbing her eyes. "what times your flight?" she asked.

"9:45pm"

"where are you going again?"

"cincinnati. are you sure you can't come?"

aurora sighed. "i wish i could, but i can't. i have to work today, cie."

"that's okay. next time?" gracie asked, squeezing auroras hands with hopefulness.

"i'll make sure my schedule is clear."

"great. i can't wait." gracie smiled.

"i love your smile, please don't ever fix it." aurora complimented. gracie felt warmth wash over her body, her smile growing wider. "thank you, rory." gracie said.

"always," aurora replied, shuffling over so gracie and her were eye to eye. "how many shows are you doing over there?"

"two. one on the 30th and one on the 1st."

"so i'm not gonna see you for three days?"

"nope." gracie said, popping the 'p'.

"i haven't even packed yet."

"gracie, you're going for three days. it'll take you like twenty minutes to pack."

"aurora, do you even know me? i'm so indecisive! you know the outfit that we went to dinner with? that took me almost an hour to pick before i came to your house."

"an hour?! i picked my outfit on the spot." aurora laughed.

"i don't even know how you did that! oh, and don't even get me started on my airport outfit."

"pyjamas?"

"it's so much more that that, rory!"

the girls giggled before reaching a point of comfortable silence. aurora started into the brunettes deep brown eyes that glistened in the sun. in that moment, something snapped in aurora.

without any warning or thought, she gently closed the gap between them, pressing her lips to gracie's. caught in the magnetic pull of her own deep feelings for gracie, she didn't realise what she was actually doing. gracie felt a jolt of shock ripple through her body her heartbeat briefly pausing as she felt auroras lips touch hers. taken aback by her act of extreme impulse, aurora quickly pulled away, her jaw agape. a sort of awkwardness lingered in the air.

gracie had no idea what to say or do, nor how to feel. the taste of confusion lingered on her lips, aurora looking her right in the eye. "fuck, um, im so sorry, i don't know why i did that." aurora mumbled, clearly sensing the palpable tension in the air.

"um, i think im gonna go. i should probably go pack," gracie mumbled, tucking her hair behind her ears and wiping her sweating hands on her pants. "thank you, for last night." gracie stood up, aurora following suit.

"yeah, it's okay, uh, do you need a ride?" aurora inquired.

"no, it's okay, i'll just get olivia to pick me up or something."
