We spent most of last night finishing our rooms, but once we did it didn't matter how late it was, it was very much worth it. Not to mention, I got the most luxurious sleep after wards. I got dressed and ready for classes before meeting my girls in the kitchen, cooking an incredible smelling breakfast.

"Well good morning, care for pancakes miss?" Ginny said teasing at how much later I woke up.

"Sorry for not helping, I didn't know you were cooking." I say, trying to rub the sleep migraine out of my forehead.

"I'm only joking, here eat." Ginny pushed a plate towards me on the counter and I happily scarfed it down.

"Okay hurry up, class is in an hour we'll be late." Hermione urged coming out of her room, absolutely perfect and ready. Ginny and I just looked at each other and started laughing.

"Mione, it takes five minutes to get to class." I told her, but I already knew what she would say.

"On time is late Daphne! Besides I don't want all the seats to be taken." She urged stressfully.

"I can guarantee you, no one is showing up an hour early for a front seat except you." Ginny laughed.

"Fine, you two have fun in the back, I'll see you there." She said taking a pancake to go and smiling at us as she walked out the door.

An hour later, prompt, Ginny and I walked into potions. There were only two seats, and not together. Why did this keep happening to me? One was an open seat by Harry, and the other was an open seat by..Malfoy. Ginny and I just looked at each other.

"You go sit by Harry, I'll be fine." I smiled comfortingly at her.

"You really don't have to do this Daphne." She said attempting to feel bad, but I heard her sigh of relief.

"He isn't even that rude to me, he just doesn't speak. Which honestly is kind of nice. You go lay the charms on my brother." I winked, walking towards Malfoy. He lifted his head up as I approached and tilted his head confused.

"For someone who doesn't want to talk you sure do keep finding me." He scoffed as I sat down.

"Can it. The universe just hates me, it's not personal." I said giving him a sarcastic smile.

"Just admit you wanted to sit by me." He smirked.

"I will do no such thing, because I don't want to." I shot back, trying to keep my eyes up front as Professor Slughorn had already began talking.

"Right, you were just abandoned by your friends, your own brother, just like the first time we met and just like yesterday." He said coldly. I ceased talking, ignoring him until he stopped too. Close yourself off Daphne, remember, he can't hurt you.

I tried to pay attention, but I was too focused on trying to push back my sadness. Why was it always me who had to sacrifice myself? I let Ron and Harry get on the train before me, ensuring me it's just to grab a seat for us, and then Ginny begs for mine. I had to sit in a confined space with a boy I never wanted to see again, all for Harry and Ginny to make shy eye contact.

I sacrificed my seat next to my own twin so that Ginny wouldn't have to receive the venom I am right now. I love my friends, and I truly would do anything for them, but it's hard not to feel like I am giving so much more.

"Pop quiz!" I heard Slughorn yell, snapping me from my thoughts. Crap. I hadn't heard a word he said. "I hope you all were listening, if you were you'll do just fine." He said handing papers out down the aisle. As I looked at the questions, I knew I was screwed.

"Need help?" I heard from the voice next to me in a condescending whisper.

"No, what I need is for you to stop drawing attention." I snapped at him.

"It hurts too much, who doesn't know what Wolfspane does?" We have been here for under thirty minutes and I want to choke him.

"I don't need your help, thank you." Yet I continued to stare at the page with absolutely no thoughts.

"It lessens the symptoms of a werewolf." He answered anyways. This one is really gonna hurt.

"Okay fine, I need your help." I admitted.

"Skele-Gro fixes broken bones." He answered. I used his answers for the entire quiz, and as slightly shameful and daft as I felt, I was relieved.

"Thank you." I told him sincerely.

"Don't mention it. Literally. Tell anyone and you're dead Potter." I guess I shouldn't have expected sincerity back. We handed in our tests, and Slughorn dismissed us. Malfoy didn't say a word, he simply stood up and left. Okay fine, no more olive branch from me.

I went to the library between classes to catch up on the lesson I missed because I was trapped inside my mind. I sat at a table closed off by bookshelves. This has always been my favorite spot in the library. While some enjoy running into their friends and letting talking turn into a group hangout, I would rather just be left alone. However, once again, the universe has absolutely no care for what I want. Because I hear a cough from behind me.

"What do you think you're doing?" Malfoy asked annoyed.

"I'm studying so we don't have to commit academic fraud again. Do you have a problem with that?" I asked him sarcastically.

"None. As long as you do it elsewhere. This is my spot." Are you serious right now?

"Yet, I got here first." I smiled then looked back down at my book.

"Merlin's sake just move tables Potter." He snapped, frustrated I didn't scurry off immediately.

"Here's a thought genius, there is literally a second chair right in front of you. Use it." I taunted, motioning towards the additional chair at the table. I couldn't believe I was inviting him to join me, but I wasn't moving, and I knew he wasn't leaving.

"I'm not sitting with you Potter. I've already been forced into it twice in the last two days, and I won't again." He said attempting to sound intimidating, but I just hear a pouty toddler.

"Okay then, enjoy your day Malfoy." I smiled a condescending smile as I looked down at my book once again. I couldn't care less if he walked away, but he sat down passive aggressively and then pulled out his own book.

We sat there in silence as we both did what we needed to do. Once I finally understood and memorized everything from the lesson earlier, I began to pack up my things to leave as Malfoy kept reading.

"All yours." I said before getting up and walking away.
