Today was one of the biggest Quidditch matches of the season. As exciting as the games are, everyone has come to the consensus that there is no game like a Gryffindor vs Slytherin match.
After leaving the library I went to meet Oliver in the dining hall for lunch, it was a small tradition we had. Over the past year, Oliver became more than just a hookup, but a friend. I liked talking to him. Harry never understood, but he was like an escape.
I love my friends, every single one, but when Oliver is with me I feel like my own person. He never asks about them, he is only interested in me, an experience I've only ever had with one other person. He's attracted to me, and it lights me on fire.
"Morning Ollie." I smiled as I spotted him.
"Good morning Daffodil." He kissed my cheek as I sat down beside him with my food. "Say, I have a gift for you."
"A gift?" I blushed. "Shouldn't I be the one getting you a present?"
"Let's just say it'll benefit me as well." He picked up a box from beside him and set in on the table. "Go on, open it."
Nervously, I removed the bow and string, releasing the top of the box. I looked inside and was speechless.
"What do you say? Wear my jersey?" He asked me.
"Oliver, I don't want you getting the wrong idea about us." I started.
"Don't fret Daph, nothing's changed. I just want you in it, and later tonight I want it to be the only thing you wear." He winked at me.
"Well in that case, consider me a fan." I smiled leaning in to kiss his soft lips.

I went back to my room to throw on Oliver's jersey, and get ready to go to the game with my roommates. As I stepped out into the shared space, I smiled realizing Ginny was wearing Harry's, and Hermione was wearing Ron's.
"Now I expected this from Ginny, but Mione what do we have here?" I teased smiling.
"I'm just supporting as a friend, don't get all hyper Daphne." She defended, but she was blushing.
"If you say so." I put my hands up.
We made our way into the stands, and as soon as the game started it was like a war zone. It wasn't unusual for Slytherin to play dirty, especially Malfoy. However, it was unusual how much Malfoy was zeroing in on Oliver. Especially considering their positions hardly required an encounter.
Malfoy was only a seeker, he had one job, get the snitch. So then how come he kept trailing Oliver to give him a shove. I watched as Oliver threw his hands in the air and yelled something to Draco, but it only resulted in another shove.
They went back and forth like this the whole game, and I wasn't sure I'd seen Malfoy even attempt to chase the snitch the entire time.
"What in the bloody hell is Malfoy's problem?" Ginny asked, concerned and angry.
"I don't know, but if he keeps in on Wood, he'll knock him off his broom." Hermione spoke.
To them it looked like a strangely purposeful attack, which it was, but to me it was not strange. I knew exactly why he was doing this.
Harry caught the snitch with no competition, and the crowd went wild. However, Malfoy was still going after Oliver, and this time he did fall off his broom, just as Hermione predicted.
"Oh my god!" I called out as everyone around me gasped.
Looking down at the field I saw Oliver wince in pain, and as Draco landed and walked past him, he spit on him.
"I better go meet him in the hospital wing." I said to my friends.
"Are you still going to show at the afterparty? I'm sure Madam Pomfrey will fix him right up fast." Ginny asked pleading, she hated going without me.
"We likely will, I'll keep you posted." I said before walking off to see Oliver as I saw them roll him off the field on a stretcher.
On my way to the wing, I passed the person who caused all this damage to begin with.
"What the hell is wrong with you?!" I said, shoving Malfoy after he broke off from his team to come speak to me.
"It's just the game Potter, it gets rough." He shrugged.
"Bullshit, you didn't even need to be near Oliver and you know it." I shouted, frustrated by his blatant lie. "For someone who would never slum it with me, you sure do care about who I sleep with."
"Watch it Potter." He spoke as he visually became angry.
"No! I don't know why you do this. You force yourself into my life, and then destroy anything you can!" I shouted.
"Potter I swear if you don't shut your mouth." He warned me.
"What? You'll shove me like you did Oliver? I'm done worrying about you Malfoy, you mean nothing to me. The train means nothing to me, so just get out of my life-" I was cut off by his hands gripping the sides of my head and pulling me into a rough kiss.
It was the very last thing I expected to happen in this moment. He pushed me up against the hallway wall, and deepened it as he pressed himself up against me. I knew I should push him off, especially after I just gave a speech about him meaning nothing to me, but it took me a few more moments to finally do so.
He stepped back and just stared into my eyes, breathing heavily from adrenaline.
"I told you to shut your mouth Potter." He spoke, before walking away and leaving me in the hallway breathless.
