One of the best things to do in the morning lately, before going to Sunshine for work, are the breakfasts with his best friend. Minho cherishes every moment they spend together, always has. Because he and Changbin are incredibly close and ever since his studio had to temporarily close around a month ago for renovation purposes, they even started to go and get breakfast together like this.
Before, Changbin would be too lazy to go, tends to always just sleep for as long as possible and then go to his studio when they open at ten in the morning to do his work. But ever since the renovations have started, he has only really been drawing to gather some material for when he could finally go back to actually tattooing people. Felix made sure to ask his friend to give Changbin a temporary job at the cafe he owns and ever since then, Changbin has decided to wake up early and start into the day with Minho.
It took them around a week until they ended up at the exact spot they are now frequenting. But even though it was not even intentional of them to find a place to frequent in the first place, the breakfast options at Crescent have been an absolute highlight. The owners are a gay couple, married for years with no kids, but an employee called Wooyoung, who gets along too well with Changbin and always sneaks some extra fruits for Minho because of it.
"Are you free later? You know, to go and watch that movie we've been waiting for.", he asks, picks up a piece of fruit with his fork and stares at it for a while, making up in his head whether or not he thinks the strawberry will taste sour or sweet, this time around. He still eats it though, being right in his previous assumption of it probably being a little more on the sour side. "The one about the boy who wakes up in the body of his deceased friend on the day of their death or something."
Changbin looks up from his food, his bagel in his hands as he was just about to bite into it.
"Oh, sorry. I'm actually working today.", he says, then takes the bite and continues talking regardless, no care at all into how impolite it is to speak with his mouth full. But he is with Minho right now and Minho has become some sort of expert in deciphering his babbles. Not to forget of course that he works with actual toddlers every single day and they are no different. Sometimes, Minho finds it quite cute how similar Changbin feels to the kids in certain ways. "It's Friday. So Chan is there in the morning and I will have my longer shift that ends with closing the place. The usual. But if you're still free after six thirty, we could probably make it to one of the evening screenings."
"Mhm, let's do it then. I am not off until five or six anyway, depending on how they need me. You know that.", he says, pauses, thinks carefully about whether or not he should mention what has been on his mind since the night before until he ultimately decides to just give up and speak. "You know, I'm getting a new student on Monday. Don't know if you heard about it yet."
"Of course I did! Lix immediately told me. Even called me last night to tell me about how excited he was about becoming Tae's emergency contact.", Changbin says, chuckles right after at the mere thought of how cute Felix was during that call. But he always is. Felix is just too sweet. Impossible to dislike at all.
"Ah of course he did.", Minho smiles, shakes his head at his brother's endearing little habits. He has never been one to hide his excitement about things, always made sure to tell his friends and share his happiness with every single one. Well, everyone who used to be there at some point. Because Minho remembers hearing a lot of names before, but never really met too many of Felix's friends until the younger was sure enough they would actually stick. Like Chan or even Jisung last night. "It's cute."
"Yeah, it really is. Makes me wonder sometimes how you two could have the same parents.", the younger jokes, almost expects a glare in return, but only ends up being blessed by the sound of Minho's laughter.
