My name is Lily Ross, and I am 15 years old. I live and breathe for dance. Dance is my life and I couldn't live without it.
I mostly do contemporary dancing, ones that tell stories. It's how I express my emotions. I have been dancing since I was 3 and loved it from the second I stepped onto the dance floor.
People tell me that I had a gift. I was special and had an incredible talent. Some people called me a prodigy - you can't imagine how much that meant to me!
I never listened to any of the choreography, I never seemed to understand it. From the moment I put my ballet shoes on, my feet did their own thing. They are seperate from my body and I cannot control them. I become lost in the music, and forget about where I am or who I am. The only thing that matters is me and the music.
But that ended.
