World 7

Where were you?

After arriving to his office building Dan went to his department and began working.
Not long after he started working his boss walked up to him. "Can I have a word with you in my office?" She asked.

"Yeah, sure." Dan responded.
When they got to his bosses office they both took a seat.
"I have to ask Dan, where have you been?" His boss asked.
"What do you mean?" Dan responded confused.
"Well, you have been gone for almost a week." His boss said.

"No I haven't, what do you mean?" Dan asked.
"Dan, you haven't clocked in since last Tuesday on the 17th." She explained.
"You know, now that you say, that does sound kind of right. I'm sorry, I'm having a really hard time remembering anything."

Dan's boss stared at him with a funny look on her face.
"Well, I docked you three days of vacation, so you should be good to go." She informed.
"Alright well, uh, thanks Sandra, I guess I'll just get back to my work then." Dan responded as he got up and left.

As he was walking back to his desk he bumped into the janitor of the office building.
"Hey Jeremy, what's up man?" Dan asked.
"Hey, Dan, I haven't seen you in a little while, how's it been?" Jeremy asked.

"As far as I remember, I've been alright." Dan replied.
"Ha ha, alright, well I'll see you around." Jeremy said.
"Yeah hey, a new bar's opening tonight, you wanna get some drinks possibly meet some hot gals?" Dan asked with a grin on his face.
"Yeah, I think I'll be free tonight, I'll text you." Jeremy responded.
"Sweet, I'll see you." Dan said as he continued walking to his desk.

Jeremy and Dan met 7 months ago when Dan first started working as a salesman.
Jeremy's a 27 year old guy that's been the janitor at Dan's building for 2 years.
Over the months Jeremy and Dan have built a small friendship.

Dan mostly had a fallout with the rest of his friends since they lived in different cities.

After Dan pushed through a long 7:30 hours of work he went home and showered to get ready for the new bar.
