This story begins in an unknown location, where a man named Nigel Marven (played by himself), a zoologist and adventurer, was having a meeting with an old man named John Hammond (played by Richard Attenborough), a billionaire who has something that will change Nigel's life forever. John: "Hello Nigel, it's great to meet you at last." Nigel: "It's a pleasure to meet you too, I hope you don't mind me asking why you want to meet me here?" John: "Well you see... do you know what's missing in our world?" Nigel: "That depends on what you mean." John: "Well, in this case, the amazing animals that time has left behind, like the Dinosaurs for example." Nigel: "Yes, those are creatures I would love to see in real life today." John: "Well here's the thing, what if we could bring them back?, like what if extinction didn't have to be forever?" Nigel: "What do you mean?" John: "I mean... what if someone goes back in time and rescues some of these creatures from extinction?" Nigel: "Travel back in time?, John, what are you saying?" John: "I'm saying... we have a way to travel to our world's past and rescue creatures that have been extinct for millions of years." this made Nigel gasped in surprise, he never thought that time travel could really happen in real life. Nigel: "You really have a way to travel to earth's past?, how?" John: "Let me show you, Alan, come over here." said Mr Hammond, before another man came. The man in question was Alan Grant (played by Sam Neill), who works on digging up dinosaur fossils. Alan: "Do you need me Mr Hammond?" John: "I was hoping you can introduce Nigel here to a certain partner of yours." Alan: "Yeah, I'm sure she'll be someone he'll be looking forward to meet." Nigel: "Who's your partner?" Alan: "You'll see, Blue!, come over here girl!" said Alan, before making a whistle sound that got the attention of his partner. It was not long before a figure came out of the shadows, which was a creature that Nigel never thought he would see alive... Nigel: "Is that... a raptor?" Alan: "Yeah, she's a Deinonychus, but I prefer to call her a Velociraptor as I found the name more fitting, her name's Blue cause of her blue strips." Nigel: "She's beautiful, but how is she here?" John: "Simple, we have a device that can open up a portal big enough to let large animals go through it in order to arrive from the past to the present day." said Mr Hammond, before placing some chrome colored sticks to the ground, then pressing a button on a remote, and what looked like some sort of portal appeared. Nigel: "Is that it?" John: "Yes, now try going through and tell us what you see." said Mr Hammond, before Nigel went through the portal and sees what looked like some sort of prehistoric world where there was a battle between the largest Dinosaurs ever to walk the earth, before he stepped back and taking in deep breaths. Nigel: "Amazing!, there was a battle between three Giganotosaurus and a lone Argentinosaurus that got separated from it's herd!" John: "So do you believe me now?" Nigel: "Yeah, but how did you get a raptor that's tamed enough to not attack us?" Alan: "Well you see, it started when we first tested out the portal..." Alan began telling his story about how he tried out the portal to see how raptors behaved when they were alive, only to see a nest that was attacked by another predator and one egg survived. When the egg hatched, Alan was the first thing it saw, making it see Alan as it's father. Since then, Alan had to raise the little dinosaur and train it enough to not attack anyone or anything that moves. The training wasn't easy, but it was good enough to keep Blue from being locked up in a cage. Nigel: "Amazing... I'm seeing a real live Dinosaur... and a real beauty too." John: "Now here's the thing, we want to put the portal to good use, and what better way than use it to create a wildlife sanctuary full of extinct animals, including Dinosaurs." Nigel: "Is that where I come in?" John: "That's right, I want you run it, be in charge of what creatures to rescue, while a man named Bob will be the head park keeper and a woman named Suzanne will be the head vet of the park." Nigel: "And Alan and Blue here?" John: "They'll be helping you on your rescue missions." Nigel: "Good to know." John: "Now... any last questions?" Nigel: "Yes, just one, what would be the name for this wildlife sanctuary?" John: "Only one name would be perfect for it... Prehistoric Park."
