There is something missing from our world... the amazing animals that time has left behind. But what if we could bring them back?, what if extinction didn't have to be forever?... we're going back in time on a safari with a difference, as wildlife adventurer Nigel Marven, plunges into prehistory to rescue creatures on the brink of extinction. His plan is to bring them back to the safety of the present, and give them a second chance. On his very first mission, Nigel hopes to rescue one of the last of the Dinosaurs from the most dramatic extinction ever. Welcome to the ultimate wildlife sanctuary... welcome to Prehistoric Park.

It's a big day for Prehistoric Park, throughout this huge reserve, there are park keepers are busy working on the finishing touches on the exhibits that would soon hold creatures like either giant bugs, extinct beasts, or even Dinosaurs. If Nigel Marven, the owner of the park, can make extinct animals feel at home anywhere in the world, it's here. A man who was bald on top and has a mustache, who was in fact Bob (played by Rod Arthur), the head park keeper, was making sure the other keepers were completing a certain enclosure right. Bob: "Remember to check everything, Nigel said that this will be the home to a dangerous creature." elsewhere in the park, Nigel was in the park's museum, looking at the skeleton of the creature that he plans to start with... the most famous dinosaur of them all... Tyrannosaurus Rex. At first Bob was a bit nervous to the fact Nigel chose a T-Rex as his first mission, which was understandable, but once Nigel told him that if they could handle one, they could handle anything, Bob had to agree. That was when Alan and Blue, the raptor, came up to Nigel. Alan: "So you're really aiming to rescue a T-Rex for our first mission?" Nigel: "Why not, the T-Rex is the perfect candidate for our first mission, the most famous Dinosaur to ever walked the earth, and it's also a way to test out our skills on handling what other creatures we bring back to the park, for if we can handle one, we can handle anything." Alan: "Hmm... fair enough, and the best place to look for one is Montana, 65,000,000 BC, though it's also the time when the Dinosaurs became extinct." Nigel: "Yes, most people believe that the cause of it might be a giant astroid smashed into the earth." Alan: "Which means we could have a time limit to get a T-Rex before that happens." Nigel: "Right." soon, it was not long before Nigel, Alan and Blue were at the holding pens, where the time portal has opened, and the trio went through and found themselves in Montana, 65,000,000 BC, the time when the age of the Dinosaurs was about to end. The place looked a lot like Conguillío National Park, only this was the home of the last of the Dinosaurs. Alan: "I just hope that you didn't bitten off more than you could chew." Nigel: "Me too Alan, as we got only maybe a few days before the astroid hits, which means we better find a T-Rex quick." as they walked into a forest in search of the T-Rex, they heard some rustling in the bushes. Blue let out a hiss sound that spooked whatever was hiding in the bushes, and the creature turned out to be a Dinosaur that looked a little like an ostrich, but not feathers and had arms instead of wings. The creature also had blue scales from head to the neck, which the rest of the body was colored gray. Nigel: "I think that was a Ornithomimus, which means bird mimic." Alan: "It was like a Dinosaur version of an ostrich." suddenly, a whole flock of Ornithomimus popped out of the bushes, following the first one. Suddenly, a loud roar was heard, and a trio of T-Rex appeared, chasing the Ornithomimus flock. Nigel, Alan and Blue manage to avoid the large predators, before seeing that one Ornithomimus was left behind and was cornered by Blue. Alan: "Looks like we might have caught our first Dinosaur." Nigel: "Yeah, while it might not be a T-Rex, it's better than ended up empty handed." over half an hour later, Nigel and Alan set up camp close to a lake, where they tied up the Ornithomimus to a pole like a horse in order to keep it from escaping until they get back to the present. When evening came, Blue looks up into the sky and noticed what looked like shooting stars, which in reality were meteors, which were a warning of the coming astroid. Nigel: "There's no doubt about it, those are meteors, which are a warning that the astroid is on it's way right now, as to when it'll hit, my guess is no later than tomorrow, which means we better get up early in the morning if we're gonna have any luck to rescue a T-Rex or two." Alan: "Yeah, the sooner we get this done, the better." said Alan, before the sun finally vanishes, as Nigel and Alan go to sleep while Blue keeps a lookout for anything out of the ordinary. Once morning finally came, the camping area gets some visitors, which were a herd of Triceratops, another famous Dinosaur besides it's natural predator, the T-Rex. Nigel: "What a glorious sight, a big herd of Triceratops." Alan: "Yeah, you know they were my always my favorite Dinosaur when I was a little kid, and now I'm seeing them in person, and they are a real beautiful sight." suddenly, a loud roar was heard throughout the area, which belonged to a pack of T-Rex, lead by a large female, who have arrived to have some Triceratops for breakfast. While the adult Triceratops are hard to take down, the babies on the other hand know better than to stick around. The leading female T-Rex got a hold on one baby Triceratops, but not for long as one large male Triceratops came and injured the T-Rex's leg with it's horns. It was not long before the other large predators realized that they lost the fight, so they ran off to avoid getting injured themselves. With the pack gone, the injured female T-Rex now has to make her own kill, and she soon spotted her next victim, another Triceratops trike. While Alan gets the rope to pull the Ornithomimus with him, Nigel sets up the time portal. Nigel: "If we're lucky and lure the Triceratops through the portal, maybe the T-Rex will follow." Alan: "Better hurry then, cause here she comes!" called out Alan, as the female T-Rex was coming closer to them and the trike. Alan sends Blue to try scaring the trike in order to make it run towards the portal, and it worked as the trike ran through the portal while Nigel, Alan, Blue and the Ornithomimus followed, but the T-Rex stayed behind, confused by the sight of the portal and how her prey just vanished. On the other side of the portal, Bob was surprised to see Nigel and Alan coming back with a young Triceratops and an Ornithomimus instead of the prime target of the mission. Bob: "Well that's no T-Rex, but it's a good start." it was not long before the trike and the Ornithomimus went into the holding pens and it was not long before Suzanne McNabb (played by herself), the park's head vet came to check them out herself. Suzanne: "Wow, they're both amazing in their own unique way." Alan: "Yeah, but now we gotta figure out where to put these two." Nigel: "I think I might know the perfect places for these two." said Nigel, before continuing on looking at the park's first Dinosaurs. It took some time, but they finally found the perfect enclosures for the creatures. For the Triceratops, now called Theo, was placed in an enclosure with a creek in it, and the exhibit was now called Triceratops Creek. As for the Ornithomimus, she was put into what looked like the kind of enclosure that you put an ostrich in. Now that the park's first Dinosaurs were in their new enclosures, Bob and the other keepers went back to work on finishing the enclosure for the T-Rex, as Nigel and Alan are ready to go back to the past, and this time they promise to return with a T-Rex. Once they got back, they found some tracks of a T-Rex, but not for long did they find the owner of the tracks as well. Nigel: "I'm sure it's the same female that got injured in the Triceratops stamped." Alan: "And it looks like she's got a dead Ornithomimus in it's mouth, must have gotten it after we left." Nigel: "Yet she's not eating it, I mean she must be so hungry right now." it was not long before they got the answer to the mystery, as a pair of little T-Rex appeared out of the bushes and were leaping for the dead Dinosaur in their mother's mouth. Alan: "Well look at that, she's a mother, and she brought the dead Ornithomimus here to feed her babies." Nigel: "Which could mean that we could have a family of T-Rex back to Prehistoric Park." suddenly, Blue let out a screech, alerting the humans that danger was close by. Soon another Dinosaur appeared, which had it's whole body covered in armor and a large club on the end of it's tail. Nigel: "It's an Ankylosaurus, while it might be a plant eater, it's still pretty dangerous with that club tail to defend itself from predators like T-Rex." Alan: "And it looks like the female is gonna try scaring it off in order to protect her young." and he was right, despite being injured, the mother T-Rex will not let the Ankylosaurus harm her young. When the mother got too close, the Ankylosaurus used it's club tail to knock her down, which killed her in the process due to being so heavy. Once the Ankylosaurus finally left, Nigel and Alan went up to the mother, who was now dead, and the young were trying let out some little roars in hopes to get her attention, but no response. Nigel: "Poor thing... all she did was just trying to protect her babies..." Alan: "Speaking of which, I think we better get them back to the park while we still can." suddenly, the sky started to get a lot brighter and the Astroid has arrived, before letting out a sonic boom as it smashes into the earth. The explosion will soon cover the whole earth in a blanket of darkness, killing 65% of life, and all that is only a few minutes away, so Nigel and Alan will have to act fast. Nigel: "Quickly!, we must get ourselves and the T-Rex babies through the time portal!" called out Nigel, as he sets up the portal, and Blue chased the two little T-Rex babies through the time portal just before the explosion hit the area. Soon, Nigel, Alan, Blue and the two T-Rex babies made it back to Prehistoric Park, much to everyone's relief. The two T-Rex babies were put into the holding pens, so they can have food to eat before being moved to their enclosure. Suzanne: "They might be little, but they're still look so powerful..." Bob: "No kidding." Alan: "So how are the other Dinosaurs?" Bob: "Well... if you take a look in Triceratops Creek, you might see Theo having a little temper, but I might have something that can fix that." Nigel: "Really?, what would that be?" Bob: "I'll show ya when you get to Theo's enclosure." said Bob, before Nigel, Alan and Suzanne went to Triceratops Creek and see that Bob was right about Theo having a temper, as the trike was ramming into a tree, before ramming into the fence in front of the humans. Nigel: "I think Theo might be just maturing, as in becoming a teenager and ready to compete with other male Triceratops to see who gets to mate with some females." Alan: "But he's the only one around." Suzanne: "Yes, which means he has no one to play with." suddenly, Bob came to the scene with a tractor that he designed to look like a Triceratops like Theo. Alan: "Bob?" Nigel: "This is your plan?" Bob: "You got it, I seen this kind of temper with rhinos before and game wardens use these to help them let out some steam, so maybe this could work for Theo just as well." Nigel: "Mind if we join in?" Bob: "Not at all." so Nigel and Alan got on the tractor with Bob and started charging while Theo did the same, and it was indeed working as Theo was starting to calm down after some time ramming into the tractor's front. With Theo finally calmed down, Nigel decided to check on the T-Rex babies, who just got moved into their enclosure, which was called T-Rex Hill. Nigel: "I managed to give them names." Suzanne: "Really?" Nigel: "Matilda for the female, and Terrance for the male." Bob: "Terrence & Matilda, very nice names for them." Suzanne: "They sound cute actually." Nigel: "For now maybe but they won't stay cute for long." Nigel's right, the two T-Rex will double their body weight every year until full size, let's hope Prehistoric Park has not bitten off more than it could chew.

Next time: Nigel travels back to the Ice Age to rescue the last Woolly Mammoth on earth, but also has to deal with the other creatures living there, like either a large cave bear or a woolly rhino, all next time in Prehistoric Park.

Animals rescued: Triceratops: 1 male/ Ornithomimus: 1 female/ T-Rex: 1 male, 1 female.
