There is something missing from our world... the amazing animals that time has left behind. But what if we could bring them back?, what if extinction didn't have to be forever?... we're going back in time on a safari with a difference, as wildlife adventurer Nigel Marven, plunges into prehistory to rescue creatures on the brink of extinction. His plan is to bring them back to the safety of the present, and give them a second chance. This time, Nigel travels back 300,000,000 BC, a time long before the Dinosaurs, when giant insects ruled the world, and his goal is to catch a few of these giant creepy crawlies. Welcome to the ultimate wildlife sanctuary... welcome to Prehistoric Park.

Prehistoric Park's goal was to bring back extinct species to the present day and breed them in captivity. So far there have been either too many babies, like the Ornithomimus, or too few, like the Smilodon pair. In the previous mission, Nigel and his team went back 11,000 BC in prehistoric South America to rescue the last of the Smilodon that were dying from starvation. Though the pair are now well fed, they still won't be near each other without attempting to attack. As for Nigel, he was looking at the construction of a large building that was going to be the home of the creatures he's bringing back next. Bob: "Let me see if I got this right... you're planning to bring back bugs from a time long before the Dinosaurs, and they were huge?" Nigel: "That's right, the reason for that was around their time, the oxygen level was much higher than today, allowing the insects to grow much larger than they did in any other time, and I'm planning to bring back three different kinds from Scotland, 300,000,000 BC." Bob: "And those would be..." Nigel: "A giant dragonfly called Meganeura, a big scorpion called Pulmonoscorpius, and a large millipede called Arthropleura." Bob: "Great... just what we need for the park... giant creepy crawlies..." suddenly, Bob got a call from his radio, and once he got the call, he freaked out. Bob: "Nigel!, we need to get to the T-Rex enclosure now!" Nigel: "What's wrong?" Bob: "It's Matilda!, she's broken into her brother's side of the enclosure!" shouted Bob, as he and Nigel rushed to their jeeps and drove off to the T-Rex enclosure as fast as they could. The two T-Rex pair were attacking one another, and Matilda was winning as she's the bigger and stronger sibling. Once Terrance was down on the ground inured, Nigel came just in time to fire a tranquillizer gun on the female T-Rex. But the effects of the tranquillizer will take a while to work with reptiles, so Nigel had to use the jeep to lure Matilda away from her brother. A few moments of running later, Matilda finally started to feel sleepy, before falling to the ground out cold. Once the fight was over, Terrance was moved to the park's vet in order to recover from Matilda's attack. Alan gave Blue a good pet on the head, knowing that she was concerned for the injured T-Rex. Alan: "Don't worry girl, Terrance is in good hands now." Nigel: "He's right, Suzanne is the best when it comes to helping injured animals and all that." it only took a few more moments before Blue nodded, letting them know that she felt better. With that done, they went to the holding pens, where the jeep they'll use to carry the insects back was located. Once they went through the portal, they not only found themselves in prehistoric Scotland, 300,000,000 BC, but also got driven into a swamp. The water of the swamp caused the engine in the jeep to stop working. Nigel: "Well this is a fine start..." Alan: "It could have been worse I guess." suddenly, Blue caught something in her mouth, which was in fact a Meganeura, one of the creatures they came for. Fortunately, Alan was able to get the insect out before Blue could harm it with her teeth, and soon places it inside a portable net. Alan: "How about that, we just got here and we just caught one of the creepy crawlies we came here for." Nigel: "Yeah, which means we got two more to go." back in the present day, Suzanne can see that the injury on Terrance's face was starting to get infected, so she had to try antibiotics. She's concerned what effects it'll do on him, but knows that if she doesn't, then Terrance will be a goner. Elsewhere in the park, Bob was having a little trouble completing the bug house due to the Titanosaurs keep coming to the area, looking like they were looking for something, before one of them took some stones from the ground and swallowed it. Bob went to do a little research and found some fossils of the sauropods having rocks in their bodies, giving him a clue that they used the stones to help them grind plant matter in their guts. So Bob begins to collect some stones and uses them as a treat for the Titanosaurs in hopes to get them to behave. Back in Prehistoric Scotland, it was dark at night when Nigel, Alan and Blue were trying to get some sleep in their camp. Suddenly, Blue let out a hissing sound, alerting the humans about the danger. Turns out that in front of Blue was a giant scorpion, known as the Pulmonoscorpius. Like a Heron hunting a fish, Nigel grabs the scorpion by the tail. Nigel: "Got it!" Alan: "Just be careful Nigel, scorpions are fast, and there's no telling what side effects it's venom has for people like us." said Alan, as Nigel managed to placed the big scorpion inside a pet carrier, before putting it inside the jeep with the Meganeura. Back in the present, while waiting for Terrance to recover, Suzanne went to the Smilodon breeding enclosure, which got some upgrades by some climbing stuff added. She hopes that the new climbing posts will help the Smilodon to be calm enough to be together without attacking one another. Suzanne: "Well... this is it... the moment we've been waiting for..." Ellie: "Yeah, it's now or never." it was not long before the gates between the dividing wall of the enclosure was opened, and the Smilodon pair were looking at each other, sniffing one another, which might be a good sign. Suzanne: "Looks like we're off to a good start." Ellie: "Yeah, with, we will finally have first Saber Tooth cubs." back in prehistoric Scotland, it was morning when the sky showed signs that a storm was coming, which can be really dangerous, because of the oxygen level was much higher, the chances of a wildfire caused by a lightning strike are very likely. Alan: "Something tells me that we better get out of here before the storm hits." Nigel: "Yeah, but there's one thing I didn't think of... how are we gonna move the jeep now that the engine's out of action." Alan: "Oh yeah... I didn't think of that." suddenly, Nigel tripped over something that was covered in dirt. At first they thought it was a log, until it lifted itself up, revealing itself to be an Arthropleura, the last giant creepy crawly they came for. Nigel: "It's an Arthropleura!" Alan: "Whoa!, it's even bigger than I thought it would be." Blue hissed at the giant creepy crawly, until Nigel jumps on it from behind, wrapping it up in some tarp in order to take it to the jeep. Nigel: "Now we got our targets, let's get out here!" Alan: "But how?, the jeep's out of action." Nigel: "I got an idea, I'll be back." said Nigel, as he sets up the time portal, and goes through it. A moment later, Nigel comes back with long piece of rope that he ties up to the jeep. Nigel: "Now Bob!, hurry!" called out Nigel to Bob with his radio, before something really strong started pulling the jeep back to the portal and back to the park. Turns out that Nigel tied up the other end of the rope to the tail of one of the sauropods, and Bob uses some stones to convince it to help. Bob: "Ha, when you got a park full of Dinosaurs, you'll never need a tow truck." Nigel: "That's for sure, now let's get these guys to their new home as soon as possible." nearly half an hour later, Bob was taking a look at the new arrivals in the Bug house. After taking a look at the Meganeura and Pulmonoscorpius, he starts feeding Arthropleura with a leaf. Bob: "Turns out this guy is a plant eater, and a friendly one too." at the vet clinic, there was the sound of Terrance roaring and stuff being trashed around. Nigel: "You didn't strapped him in?" Suzanne: "I didn't think the antibiotics would take effect so quickly." Alan: "Well one thing for sure, Bob is gonna be in for a big surprise." this made the other humans to laugh as they keep hearing Terrance roaring.

Next time: Nigel goes back to prehistoric Texas, 75,000,000 BC, in order to catch one of the biggest prehistoric alligator/crocodile that has ever lived, while the Smilodon finally get cubs, and a major break out occurs, all next time in Prehistoric Park.

Animals rescued: Meganeura: 1 male/ Pulmonoscorpius: 1 female/ Arthropleura: 1 male.
