There is something missing from our world... the amazing animals that time has left behind. But what if we could bring them back?, what if extinction didn't have to be forever?... we're going back in time on a safari with a difference, as wildlife adventurer Nigel Marven, plunges into prehistory to rescue creatures on the brink of extinction. His plan is to bring them back to the safety of the present, and give them a second chance. This time, Nigel goes back to prehistoric China, 120,000,000 BC, to rescue the missing link between Dinosaurs and birds. Welcome to the ultimate wildlife sanctuary... welcome to Prehistoric Park.

It was a very hot day as a heat wave has hit Prehistoric Park, and some of the animals, like the Elasmotherium or Martha the Mammoth for example, were struggling by it. Nigel: "This could be a problem, this place is good for reptiles, but not for Ice Age mammals like Martha or the Elasmotherium." Alan: "No kidding, their bodies were made for extreme cold, and this heat wave is no doubt upsetting them." that was when Suzanne came up to them. Suzanne: "Here's an idea, Ellie and I could try giving them a haircut in order to cool them down." Alan: "How are you gonna do it with the Elasmotherium?, he's not exactly as friendly as Martha." Suzanne: "We can tranquillize him and do the trimming while he's sleeping." Nigel: "That might be a good idea." a little while later, Nigel was in his den when he was feeding his Blue-and-Yellow Macaw, one he rescued from a small forest fire in South America sometime after Martha was moved in with the Elephants. Nigel: "After bringing this guy here, he gave me an idea on what my next mission will be." Alan: "Which is..." Nigel: "A Dinosaur with four wings, called Microraptor, which is found only in one place and time... prehistoric China, 120,000,000 BC." Alan: "You're trying to pull a Martha with the macaw, aren't you?" Nigel: "I guess you could say that, the Blue-and-Yellow Macaw normally live in flocks and he's the only one here, so maybe if we could get a prehistoric Mammoth to live with it's modern relatives, maybe could do the same with this macaw living hanging out with Dino birds." it was not long before Nigel, along with Alan and Blue were at the holding pens, and the portal was opened and ready to send them to their next rescue mission. Once they got through, they found themselves in front of a pristine lake and a volcano surrounded by thick forest hiding the sun. suddenly, they felt the whole area shaken a little bit before it stopped, Nigel looks at the volcano, knowing that it was the cause of it. Nigel: "That's only a tremor, but we really need to keep an eye on that volcano." Blue let out a concern chirp, before Alan started petting her on the head to try making her feel better. Alan: "Don't worry girl, everything will be okay." a few moments later, the team went into the forest and started looking for the Microraptor, which was supposed to be a small Dinosaur, but they must not forget that they're not the only creatures around. Soon they discovered a Dinosaur that has feathers, but it was not the Microraptor, as it was a big bigger than the team's target, and it had two buck teeth in the front top. Alan: "What is that?" Nigel: "Well it's not a Microraptor, as they don't have teeth like that... I believe what we're looking at is a male Incisivosaurus, which is called that because of those buck teeth." Alan: "There's another one, but it's feathers are not as colorful." Nigel: "I think that one is a female, and it looks like the male is trying to impress her with the colors of it's feathers, which is a common way for some birds to get attract a mate." said Nigel, as he and his team were watching the male Incisivosaurus showing off it's colorful feathers to the female. Alan: "It's amazing, as it seems that Microraptors are not the only unique Dinosaurs here in this place and time." Nigel: "As much as I want to bring those two to the park, we gotta find the Microraptor before the volcano blows." said Nigel, as he and his team continue their search for the Microraptor. Meanwhile, back in the present day, Suzanne and her team were busy giving Martha a much needed haircut to cool her down, before doing the same thing for the Elasmotherium, who was sleeping due to being tranquillized in order to do so without it charging at them. As for Bob, he was busy trying to keep Terrence & Matilda separated. The reason why was they were about to fight each other due to the heat wave and it seems that the T-Rex get really aggressive in their teen years. Bob: "Oh boy... I guess some animals get a little cranky once they hit their teenage years." Suzanne: "Well we already learned that from Theo, but it looks like T-Rex like Terrance and Matilda have it much worse." Bob: "No kidding, and if that's not enough trouble for me, I'm worried about the Ornithomimus." Suzanne: "What do you mean?" Bob: "Well she seems to be hiding something in the bushes, and when I tried to get close to it, she gets aggressive and forcing me to leave." Suzanne: "I wonder... did you see if there was a nest?" Bob: "I think so." Suzanne: "Well maybe... she might be laying some eggs there, and she must have thought you were after them so she was most likely trying to protect them." Bob: "But if that's the case... we might soon have our first baby Dinosaurs." said Bob, who along with Suzanne were smiling to the thought of the park getting it's first baby Dinosaurs. Back in prehistoric China, Nigel and his team were still looking for the Microraptor, when they saw what they were looking for, only there were not only more than one, but it seems they were following a small herd of very large Dinosaurs with long necks. Alan: "Whoa... those remind me of Brachiosaurus." Nigel: "Yes, but I believe these are Titanosaurs, a member of the Sauropod group of the Cretaceous period." Alan: "But what are they doing here?" Nigel: "I think the answer's in the ground." said Nigel, as he shows Alan what looked like an egg in the soil. Nigel: "I think they're here in this forest to lay their eggs, and heat from the volcano must be a good incubator for them." Alan: "And it looks like the Microraptor are following them." Nigel: "And there's why, when the Titanosaurs step on the ground, lots of woods breaks into pieces, exposing a lot of insects for the Microraptors to feed on." Alan: "And maybe the Microraptors follow them for protection from other predators that might hunt them." Nigel: "That's a good theory too." Alan: "Now how are we gonna get them without harming them?" Nigel: "I already had that in thought and I brought this." said Nigel, as he shows Alan a device that looks like a gun that shoots out nets. Nigel: "This net gun should do the trick." said Nigel, as he uses the net gun to catch about four Microraptors, just before the ground began to shake a lot more than before, and Blue let out screeches to alert Alan about what was happening. Turns out the volcano itself was erupting, spooking all the animals, even the big ones. Nigel: "We gotta get out here!" called out Nigel, as he sets up the time portal in order to get himself, his team and the Microraptors back to the present. Of course once they got through, they see that the Microraptor was not the only ones they brought back, as 5 large Titanosaurs followed them through. Bob: "What in the world?!, Nigel!, Alan!, Blue!" Nigel: "Sorry Bob, but it looks like the volcano scared them enough to follow us here." Bob: "How many are there?" Nigel: "Well by the looks of it, I say 5 of them." Bob: "Oh my word... I don't believe it... where on earth am I ever gonna put these?" Nigel: "I'm sure you'll figure something out." Alan: "Look on the bright side, at least they're not large predators like a T-Rex." Bob: "Fair point." while Bob deals with the park's new sauropods, Nigel checks the Ornithomimus enclosure to see if what Suzanne said was true. Nigel: "Looks like she was right, our Ornithomimus is gonna be a mother, her nest already has some eggs, as to when they'll hatch, only the future will tell I guess." with luck, it won't be long before the park gets it's first baby Dinosaurs. At long last, the heat wave was over, and Nigel's macaw was a lot happier now that he has some Dino bird friends to hang out with. Martha and the Elasmotherium were happy with their haircut, the Ornithomimus continues to guard her eggs until they'll be ready to hatch, and the T-Rex pair are no longer trying to kill each other... for now anyway.

Next time: Nigel goes back to rescue to top predators of prehistoric South America, including the legendary Saber Tooth cat, and the park will have it's first baby Dinosaurs, all next time in Prehistoric Park.

Animals rescued: Blue-and-Yellow Macaw: 1 male/ Microraptors: 2 males, 2 females/ Titanosaurs: 1 male, 4 females.
