Amazing Grace (On Hold!)

Something special (chapter 5)

His sweet laugh echoed in my ears.

"Its Hunter. Jake Hunter" he said.

I laughed "Might I add that that was a very failed impersonation at James Bond" 

"Its better then yours Grace Storm" he teased. wait.

"How do you know my last name?" I looked at him curiously and tilted my head to the side.

"On the night that I caught you, you said and I quote " my name is Grace Storm, please help me"

"oh yea, I remember now. I was so exhaused after running so far so fast and it was dark too so when I was running through the forest I kept stumbling."

"You ran through a forest?"

"yep but its okay I heal quickly" I smiled.

"You heal quickly?" he gave me a confused look.

"yep" I replied popping the p.

"How quickly?" he said wearily.

"I'm not supposed to tell you any of this you know, but for some reason I feel like I can trust you" he smiled when I said that. " An example on how fast I heal is if I had a broken arm or something then in about half an hour it would be fully healed." Jake let out a big breath "wow, so wait let me get this. You have..... powers?"

"I guess you could say that" I smirked.

"how long have you had them?" he asked.

"Ever since I was born. Turns out the first power I showed was healing at just a few weeks old. I healed a scratch on my mothers finger-" Jake cut me off "so you can heal others?"

"yes I can but it takes up a lot of energy."

"You said "first" power so does that mean you have more powers? or gifts? or, whatever yo-" "Gifts" I corrected him, "and yes I have more then just one power. Our kind each get the power to manipulate two of the elements and our own personal gift. My sister Jess-" a wave of sadness washed over me as I brought her up- "she had gifts too. Her elements were wind and earth and she could fly but we never got around to practicing it yet and she could never fly on demand. We were still learning. Thats why she fell." I took a breath, "My elements are earth like Jess and my other element is mixed, I can manipulate lightning and create storms, I can also float from the static electricity and you already know I can heal."

"So your special? or can mixed elements be very common?" he said leaning closer.

"They're very rare so I guess you could say I'm special. So far I haven't heard of any other Xenaitrons that can wield lightning and only the very powerful ones which are royal can create their element out of thin air. I don't think I'm royalty because I've never made earth or lightning form out of thin air but I guess I've never really tried. I could be royalty actually. I Don't remember much about my mothers background but I do remember how beautiful she was and how she always held herself. She held herself with such confidence and elegance all the time even when she was super tired. I always loved that about my mum-" I was rambling. Again. Thats usually a habit of mine. I remember Jess always telling me to shut up because I wouldn't stop talking. I laughed inwardly at that. Oh the good old times. Grace! shut up already! your doing it again!

"Your quite the talker aren't you Grace?" jake said amusedly, before I answered he suddenly said "Hey umm this whole time I've still been on you, your probably feeling numb now seeing as I'm so much heavier then you" he blushed and got off of me. To be honest though I didn't really mind slowly losing feeling to my arms and legs if it meant being close to him.

"Its okay, your probably getting bored now anyway. I'll stop." I said getting up. Jake sat next to me and we both leaned back against the side of the bed.
