—— I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY WEEKS IT'S BEEN.

A week? Two? Three? Though, it may as well have been a whole couple years since Connor had avoided any and all contact with me at school.

He would either be at the hockey arena practicing for the championship game, which was now in a couple weeks time or anywhere I was to avoid having to strike up a conversation.

And if I were being honest, I didn't blame him. It was no one's fault but my own for not being clear and communicative of my feelings.

I should have told him how I really felt that night at Thanksgiving. That I liked him more than I could ever imagine. That the day he kissed me, that moment alone still hasn't left my mind since.

Instead, I let my own paranoia eat away at me and swallow me whole and now, I may have lost the only person I could've potentially begun a fresh new relationship with.

"Ana.." I turned from my locker to see Brady, Marianne and the others standing before me. I closed my locker, locking it shut before turning to them. "I'm fine guys."

"No you're not babe, you can't lie to us. We know you." Madeline muttered out, her arms instantly coming to wrap themselves around me, pulling me into a warm embrace.

But I didn't even have the energy to return the hug. So I just stood there, my eyes probably looking dark and with no emotions.

Suddenly, my eyes caught Connor as he entered the school, his eye looking straight ahead before they met with mine.

My lips parted slightly as our eyes held contact with each other for a few seconds before he looked forward again, walking slightly faster down the halls.

"What is it? You look like you've seen a ghost." Caroline asked, concerned. I blinked rapidly, unshed tears filling my eyes as I pulled away from Maddy's hugs. "Nothing, I think it's just allergies."
