Chapt. 7 🥀

It's been months..Almost a year since Cody had last been seen. Not many people were entirely worried, but they were notified of his disappearance.  Heather, who lived in a different city, came over as soon as she heard of his disappearance.  She wasn't going to just stand by and wait to find out if the person she saw as her little brother was found.  She wanted to help as much as she could.

Gwen was silently collecting her thoughts in her room, thinking of anyone who could've taken Cody.  She wasn't sure of who could've done it. Maybe Sierra? No, she's actually changed .. She's gone to therapy and everything, she respects his boundaries now.. Who else could there be? Not many people seem to be interested in Cody— Unless it was someone she doesn't know. Gwen took a deep breath, calming herself. She isn't sure how she'll get to the bottom of this, but she will eventually. It doesn't matter what happens, she'll find him .. Even if it'll be the death of her.

A week has passed, still nothing. The thoughts of Cody being in pain or hurt is causing Gwen a lot of grief, she doesn't know what to do. She's gotten into contact with Sierra again, and began asking her questions that might help.. But Sierra wasn't too helpful.

Gwen began becoming frustrated, she didn't know what to do.  She put it into her own hands to save Cody, even if she knew it'd be impossible.  She had no clue what to do anymore, and nothing was helping.

Until.  She met someone one day.  He had said his name was Noah. He wanted to help, he wanted to find Cody just as much as Gwen did.

Now, Gwen was more determined.  She told Noah everything she knew.  And Noah would tell her the things he knew in return.

Apparently, Cody was last seen walking into a van. The van drove off north from Cody's house.

Those were the words from Noah.

Gwen had a gut feeling, a feeling that Noah wasn't being truthful, none of what he said lined up with her information she already knew.  She knew Cody wouldn't trust anyone in a van, she knew Cody was smarter than that.  Gwen stayed silent though, she had a feeling this Noah guy had something to do with his disappearance.

And once she brought him up to Sierra, she recognized him almost immediately.

" Gwen . . That's the guy who asked me for information over Cody.  He's bad news, DONT trust him.. I don't know what it is about him, but he makes me sick. " Sierra would tell Gwen, before the phone line suddenly cut off.

Gwen wrote down in her notebook about the event that day.

Each day grew longer, the days were far more difficult. Everything was a repeat now, wake up, do research, find information, sleep. Gwen has began eating way less ever since this all started, she couldn't, she needed to find Cody.  He was her friend, and he needs her now.

As the days continued, Gwen grew more and more suspicious about Noah.  The way he'd glare at her, the way she's caught him peaking through her notes.. He was definitely the number one suspect now.  She's suggested to the police that maybe he was the one, but she didn't have proof. Another weird thing was the fact Sierra had also disappeared ever since she told her about her experience with Noah.. It's all suspicious.  Everything about this situation was sketchy.

Gwen felt watched. Every moment of the day, she felt watched. She knew it might be Noah, but she kept quiet. No one was going to listen to her, no matter how much she'd plead for someone to search him, no one would.

It's like everyone has given up on Cody already.

It's been two weeks since Gwen last saw Sierra..She was worried about the purple-head.. She was the only person helping her through this all..

One day, she received a message from a sketchy phone number. It read:

" Gwen, it's me Sierra. I'm locked up in an apartment with Cody. I am only managing to send you this message because of the fact I stole Noah's phone. This is the location, PLEASE hurry. He's going to kill me soon, PLEASE. xox, Sierra. "

That was definitely Sierra, only she would put the "xox" at the end of her message. Gwen knew she had to act fast, she didn't have a plan ready, nor did she know what to do. She had the location now, but not a plan.

She eventually chose to contact Heather, one of Cody's closest friends, or relatives, she can't tell anymore.

Gwen then also got Courtney, one of her own closest friends, to help with this. She knew Courtney had been attending law school since she truly wanted to help a lawyer. She knew that Courtney would be able to find valuable evidence to get Noah arrested.

And soon, Gwen called a meeting between the three.

" So, we all are here to find out a plan to help Cody and Sierra. Got it? " Gwen said sternly.

" Yep, got it. " Courtney said in a rather sassy tone.

" I'll do anything to help Cody get free, and a matter of fact, I have a plan! " Heather stated.

" Go on? "
Gwen looked at Heather, ready to take any sort of plan.

" Now, I know this is risky, but we NEED to take the risks to help my brother. Gwen, you're able to be stealth, yeah? I want you to be the one to sneak into the apartment building. I have a way with locks, so I can help get the door unlocked, or maybe a window. And Courtney we'll need you to keep record of anything that happens, okay? " Heather stated.

Gwen just thought for a moment, " Heather, the plan is great, but when do you think we'll be able to do this? "

" Midnight, I know that guy, he use to be my neighbor and he'd go out about 6 PM and come back around 4 AM. Im not sure if he does that still, but regardless.. "

" Fuck, it's risky as hell, but we need to do anything to get Cody and Sierra back safely. Are we prepared to do this? "

" Hell yeah, I'll have my camera ready and everything, I'll take pictures, keep note, yep! We can do this, you guys! " Courtney said excitedly.

" Yep. I'm fully prepared, I even have outfits prepared for this! " Heather smiled happily.

" Are the outfits necessary? " Gwen asked.

" Very. Especially if we're out in the dark, it makes it more difficult to be seen. " Heather mentioned, " Plus the fabric is actually pretty soft! "

" Alright then .. We better get ready for this then. " Gwen muttered, feeling uneasy, she wasn't prepared for what was about to happen.
