"oh no." Annabeth sighed as she looked at all the garden gnomes "oh we came across auntie ems garden..." I roll my eyes "who's auntie em?" Percy says following me quickly. I turned around quickly to be met with Percy's face crazily close to mine. "oh hello seaweed brain, um take a look around see all these statues of peo-" i started but got cut off by a fury flying over "alecto!" grover called out as we all started to run away. "oh Annabeth you shouldve accepted my offer..." Alecto stated. "oh its all right friends" we heard as suddenly Alecto shrieked and hid "medusa...." i whispered. as she invited us in, as percy turned me around "do you trust her?" he said "of course not. but would you rather stay out here with that?" i asked smiling "no..." he smiled.
"so if your not a monster, then what are you?" percy asked as i elbowed him signaling to not.
"A survivor... have you really not heard my story?" medusa asked. "i have" grover said as he bit into some food, and we all looked at him in confusion "okay maybe i havent..." grover said confused.
"I worshipped athena, I adored her, I made her offerings every day of my life, but she didnt do anything to show me that she appreciated it.." I genuinly felt bad about what medusa was saying. The gods didn't appreciate their children they acted like they were just bad omens on their part and it is genuinely heart breaking..
"And then one day Poseidon expressed his love for me and told me he cared for me, and I believed him, because no one had ever cared for me before.. and then Athena told me I embarrassed her and that I was a disgrace, and I needed to be punished, not him. me." I shook my head at medusa's words I knew it was true but I couldn't bear to believe it
"what my mother did to you wasnt a gift. it was a curse" Annabeth snapped.
"oh it smells like something burning..." Medusa said "Percy, Aura would you join me in the kitchen?" Medusa finished.
"uh..." i started "yeah we will" Percy stated as he grabbed my hand and there it was again the shock "ow! percy!" I yelped out.
"uh.. im sorry, she doesn't normally act like that..." I said smiling "shes going to betray you guys you do realize that" medusa said while cooking whatever she was cooking "If you guys turn them in to me.. i can help your quest" medusa finished continuing to cook there food. oh fuck no. yeah they were getting out of there. aura turned to percy and put her finger over her mouth and grabbed his hand shocking the blonde boy and hurried out of the kitchen.
