Another Day – Harry

Another day, another interview, and another thousand screaming girls. As I walk out of the radio station and towards the car, all I hear is yelling and all I see are the flashes from cameras that are surrounding me, almost swallowing me whole. I can’t help but wonder if it will always be like this. If people will follow me everywhere I go for the rest of my life. People who need to know what I’m doing every second of every day. Sometimes I think it’s too much for me to handle, but this is what I wanted right? Yeah, this is what I wanted, but it’s not what I expected. Sometimes I just want to get away from it all, even just for a couple of hours.

I slide into the car and stare out the window. I look at all the people as we pass by them. They look so free. Like they don’t have any worry about what they do or how it will affect them. That must be nice. All of a sudden I feel a firm hand on my shoulder. I don’t even have to turn around to know who it is. It’s Louis. I’d know that touch anywhere. I turn my head around and see that all the boys are staring at me.

"Are you alright mate? You’ve been quiet."

"Yeah, I was just thinking."

"Feel like talking about it?"

"Do you think it will be like this forever?"

"Like what?" Liam asks.

"Like people always watching and judging us."

"That’s fame, Harry. We gave up our privacy when we went on the X-Factor. You know that."

"I know, but don’t you ever wish you could go back? Just for a day?"

Niall speaks up, "I do. Sometimes it feels like I’m suffocating, you know? Like I don’t have room to breathe because there’s always someone there."

"That’s exactly what I mean," I point out.

"Well one amazing thing came out of going on the X-Factor," Zayn says. "We found each other."

"Yeah, I would never change that," Louis states.

"Me either. You guys help keep me grounded," I reply.

"I think this calls for a group hug."

I love these boys, but I don’t think they understand that I was talking about literally getting away. Maybe hiding out for a while. They agreed like it was nothing. Like I was just saying words and they weren’t really listening.

We pull away just as the car stops at our hotel. More girls and flashes await. The boys and I step out of the car and quickly duck into the lobby. The guards close the door and lean against it to prevent everyone from pouring in.

"Thanks guys."

I always make sure to tell them that.

"We’re just doing our job."

I smile at them and catch up to the others who are already at the elevators. It’s a silent ride up to floor six. The doors open and we step out.

"Do you guys want to chill in my room?" Louis asks.

"Sure."

"Yeah."

"Can we make popcorn?"

"What about you, Harry?"

It takes me a second to realize that Louis is talking to me.

"Uh, I think I’m just going to go back to my room. I’m kind of tired."

"Alright. We’ll see you in the morning then."

The boys head to Louis’ room as I walk in the opposite direction back to mine. Truth is, I’m not tired at all. I feel like I need to get out of here and I can’t do that if I’m sitting with my friends while we play video games.

I get out my room key and unlock the door. There’s a piece of paper sitting on my bed.

"Be ready at 4:00 am tomorrow morning. A car will pick you up and take you to your photo shoot for English magazine." –Rick

Rick is our manager. He makes me want to punch a wall. He doesn’t care about me or the boys at all. Rick just loves money. It makes me sick. Really. He’s just another reason why I want to take a break. Just the thought of him pushes me to the edge.

I decide that I’m going to sneak out. Where? I’m not really sure yet, but I’ll find somewhere to go. I make sure to put a hoodie on and grab my phone and wallet. I slowly open the room door and check the hallway before leaving. The coast is clear. I dart to the elevator and swiftly press the down arrow. The doors open and Paul is standing there.

"Where do you think you’re going?"

"Just for a walk."

Please let me go.

"Okay then. Don’t get into any trouble. Call me if you need anything."

"Will do."

I push past him so I can get into the elevator before the doors close again. I check twitter as I make my way down to the lobby. It’s the same old boring stuff I always see. I hear a ding indicating that the ride is over. I step out, and wave to the lady at the desk before putting my hood up and going out onto the streets of London. There’s not many people considering it’s the middle of the night, so I walk around aimlessly until I find myself at the London Train Station.

I feel myself moving closer and closer to the ticket booth. I could just ride around England until the train comes back to London. It would be great to sit somewhere where no one knows me. Where no one wants a piece of Harry Styles. I glance around the station. Not a single soul is here besides me and the ticket man. The train could be that somewhere.

But what if someone catches me? I can just see the headlines now. "Popstar Harry Styles Gets On Secret Train To Meet His Secret Girlfriend" or "Harry Goes Away To Avoid The Other One Direction Boys?" That’s not what I want at all. People overreact and spread rumors. And what’s worse is that everyone believes them.

Before I can think about it any further, I’ve already bought a ticket. Now I’m sitting on the bench waiting for the train to come and take me away.

So this is my first time posting on Wattpad! I really hope you all like my fanfic because I've put a lot of thought into the characters and ideas and I think it's pretty creative. I'm switching POV's for each chapter because I want to show what both of the main characters are thinking. Please comment, vote, and follow!
