As I took a step behind her, grabbing the hair tie from her hand. I grabbed it and held it in one hand. I grabbed her hair into a top pony tail, twisting it and wrapping the hair into the top bun, pulling out some hair at the top.
"Turn around for me, love." I said to her as she did looking at me.
I grabbed some pieces from the top and side like i've seen her do a million times and let them free.

I stepped back and took out my phone taking a picture of her to show her. Obviously planning to keep it in my camera roll regardless.
"Here, gorgeous ." I said showing her as she took the phone zooming in observing how clearly of a good job I did.
"You did good Austin. I'm actually really surprised." She said lightly chuckling handing my phone back to me.
"Thank you, thank you. Let's eat." I said as I grabbed a cup of noddles and chopsticks making my way to the living room sitting on the couch.
" What do you want to drink?" She said yelling at me from the kitchen.
"I'll taking some water, lovie." As I opened the cup.
"Here you go." She said placing the cup down. She immediately started eating not waiting a second.
"Damn, little lady. You sure can put it away." I said to her.
"No way you just said that to me Austin. Don't tell me you've been watching tiktok." She asked me as she gave me the craziest side eye.
"Just a little." I said chuckling.
"What were we gonna watch? We need a new series to start." I asked her curious of what she was gonna say.
"Let's watch all the marvel movies in order..." She said gleaming at me.
I know how much she loves marvel. Not many people know this about her but she secretly had a shrine of old marvel figurines dedicated to a room in her house.
"Sure, love." I said agreeing and smiling as she immediately lit up when I didn't decline. I could never her face is adorable, come on.
We sat in a comfortable silence as the movies placed. Although she's seen these movies a million times she watches it as if it was the first time. The way her face scrunches when anything happens to hurt someone she has grown attached to.
It was now like 2 in the morning. We had finished eating and were pretty far into the movies.
We stopped at the first Thor movie. I looked over at Claire and realized she had fallen asleep cuddled up to me with her arm wrapped around mine.
I started moving slightly to remove myself from her grasp. "Stay." She said whispering assuming I was leaving her.
"I'm not going anywhere baby, but let me take you to your room, yeah?" I said picking her up, wrapping one arm around her back and one under her legs.
"Okay, only if you lay with me." She said with her eyes still closed yawning. Snuggling into my chest.
"Sure, my love." I said before telling Alexa to turn off the tv and began walking upstairs carefully.
Placing her onto her bed, and under the covers I pulled them up to her, moving a strand of hair behind her ear admiring her sleepy state.
"Get in." She said whispering still.
I made my way around the other side of the bed, getting under the covers facing Claire. She turned to me and pulled herself into me, resting her face in my neck.
"Goodnight, my love." I said wrapping my arms around her body.
"Goodnight, Austin." She said drifting to sleep. I went soon after listening to her slowing breath, calming me.
