We headed towards the stage and heard Jimmy as he began introducing himself.
As we were walking I admired how beautiful Claire looked.
In this amount of time of filming Elvis, we have gotten really close. We worked on our chemistry on-screen and eventually found some of our own. I admire her raw passion and her caring, kind, smart soul.
The way she presents herself and holds everyone to a certain standard is what I admire so much about her.
Being taken from my thoughts we hear Jimmy announce us.
"Welcome, everyone! Today, we have 2 amazing actors from the new upcoming movie Elvis! Austin Butler and Claire Lohen!" he says as we walk on stage smiling and waving at the audience.
I walked up to Jimmy shaking his hand before Claire hugged him.
We sat down on the black couch and Claire said "Thank you so much for having us! We are extremely thrilled to be here and know many people have been waiting!" She said as the crowd went crazy.
"Yes, thank you so much, Jimmy, it's great to see you," I said brushing my hair back with my hand.
"We are thrilled to have you both! Now, your new movie has been starting a lot of buzz. What can you tell us about it?" Jimmy asked curious as looking towards the crowd.
"Well Jimmy, Elvis starts from his rise to fame to his unprecedented superstardom. Elvis Presley has maintained a complicated relationship with his enigmatic manager, Colonel Tom Parker, for 20 years played by my good man Tom. It also really focuses on his journey and happiness which is none other than one of the most influential people in his life -- Priscilla, who is played by Ms. Claire here who brings so much emotion to her character." I say turning and admiring her.
"That is interesting and a great take on the man we knew from everything he has done in the past. What was it like working with Claire? Any memorable moments from your long hours on set?" Jimmy asked.
"Yeah. You know to play Elvis I had to adapt my voice to sound close to him."
"In the trailer, I know many people heard how different I sounded and how different I still sound today. It took a lot of strain on my voice and now it has adapted to it. During filming, I had gotten sick and we decided to take a day off and see if I got better Claire went out of her way to visit me and make soup for me to help regain my voice and feel better."
"She has such a kind heart and we have grown closer over these last 2 years," I say as I see Claire looking at me.
The Interview went on for another 20 minutes and Claire spoke about some of her generic parts in the movie not giving away anything.
"Yeah, we have the Red Carpet next month and the premiere for the movie in two weeks. Lots of virtual events planned to engage with the audience, we are very excited. I can't wait for everyone to see what we have worked so hard on." Claire said closing her statement.
"Well again, let's give it up for Austin Butler and Claire Lohen!" Jimmy said standing and shaking my hand and Claire's.
As we walked off the stage saying our goodbyes and waving at the audience.
We headed towards Claire's dressing room and we entered she turned and looked at me.
I gave her a curious look wondering if everything was okay when she asked, "Do you wanna come over later?" She asked smiling.
"Of course, what are we doing?" I asked smirking, as she pushed me slightly joking.
"I have to film a skincare routine for YouTube but I kinda just wanted to hang out with you..."
"Sure, I'll be over after I meet up with Andrew for a few."
"That's fine, I'll see you later, just text me when you're on the way."
"Alright, Love," I said before giving her a quick hug then walking out the door, and calling Andrew. Saying goodbye to the studio director.
Calling Andrew
Austin - "Hey Man, I'm on the way."
Drew- "Alright, see you soon."
