Claire's Pov

It was the next day and about 1 hour before Austin would be picking me up to go to the Elvis Carpet.

I was nervous but I would be around people I admired and looked up too so it couldn't be that bad.

I was really hoping I got the spot for Anyone But You. I feel like it would be a really good chance for me to get into the rom com genre.

Glenn powell was an amazing actor. Especially in Top Gun Maverick .

Finishing my hair with just a simple curled look.

I made my way downstairs for a snack.

My phone started buzzing.

It was Vanessa! I immediately answered.

"Hi honey!"

"Hi Claire Bear, are you ready for the carpet?"

"As ready as I can be." I said laughing.

"You're gonna do great. I'll be there with you." She said.

"Are you serious?!?" I asked confused.

"I thought you were gonna be busy?"

"For you and Austin's big day, never." She exclaimed sweetly.

"Aw, wait where are you?" I asked her.

"Outside! So open the door."

I practically threw the phone down and ran towards the door.

Opening the door to see my beautiful best-friend.
I hugged her tightly. Her hugging me back.

"I've missed you so much. We haven't seen each other in forever." I said slightly tearing up, careful to not ruin my makeup.

"I know, But I'll  be more available now that Tick Tick Boom is finished!" She said as we both back up from our hug.

Making our way to the kitchen we decided to chat for a bit before I decided to get dressed.

About 30 minutes later I had gotten dressed and was ready to go! Austin texted me saying he would be there in 3 minutes.

Me and Vanny were sitting on the couch when the doorbell rang.

I quickly made my way to the door and opened it.

"Hi Sweetheart." Austin said leaning down to kiss me, wrapping his hands around my waist.

"CLAIRE JEWEL LOHEN."
