It was now Saturday.

The past few days had been very slow.

I couldn't wait to see my parents today. The last time I saw them was 2 years ago for Christmas.

It was very difficult with my busy schedule and their jobs but we always found some way to meet up and spend some time together.

I got up from bed and took a shower putting on some sweatpants and a white crop top, applying lotion and perfume.

I headed to the airport which was about 1 hour from my house.

I pulled in and texted my mom saying I was here. I had to stay in my car through the airport pick-up. I was texting Austin saying how I had arrived and was waiting for my parents before someone knocked on the window.

It was my mom waving!

Rushing out of the car and running to my mom I hugged her.

"Hi, Mum! I missed you." I said squeezing her tightly.

"Hi, lovebug. I missed you too!" She laughed.

I backed up from our hug. "Where's dad?" I asked looking around. "He's getting our bags. I couldn't wait to see you so I kinda left him behind." She said shrugging.

My parents were quite in love with each other.  They were high school sweethearts and actually met when my dad was new to the school.

They do everything together and almost never argue. They see each other's side and make decisions that will both make them happy. That's probably what I admire most about them.

"Here he comes!"

I turned my head and practically knocked my dad over with the impact of me sprinting towards him.

"Woah! Slow down there." He said chuckling.

"I missed you," I said cheesing.

"Missed you too Sweetie." He said letting go of the suitcases and hugged me.

"Are you guys hungry? I know the flight was kinda long.." I asked.

"Yeah, I could eat!" My dad said.

"Of course you could." My mom said bickering.

"Perfect! I can cook. Let's go!" I helped my dad put the suitcases into the back of the car and we made our way back home.
