Chapter 11 | Reunion?! Brother and Sister

Last time on Zodiac Odyssey. Rin has obtained two new slave transformations: SCOUT and GOLIATH. One form that's best attributes is its enhanced senses and the other, a slow but hulking powerhouse.

Now returning to the story, to the next day. Rin and Kyouka are out on patrol together and are in the middle of slaying shuuki. After only joining the seventh unit for a while now, Rin has shown to have grown much stronger. And even more, his coordination and compatibility with Kyouka has also gotten stronger...

[Kyouka]: "Rin!"

[Rin]: "Right!"

With her left hand, Kyouka held on tightly to Rin's chains, the owner of said chains then began swinging the chains around like a helicopter propeller while Kyouka still held on. And with her sword hand, Kyouka slashed at the shuuki. With that, the last of the shuuki were eliminated.

Kyouka lets go of Rin's chains and lands perfectly back on the ground, swinging her sword to fling off the blood...

[Kyouka]: "Good. We put them in their place."

But then, there was another shuuki that appeared. It burrowed underground and was ready to jump out and attack. Thankfully, Rin was able to detect it before it could even attack and crushes it on the spot...

[Kyouka]: "Nice job. Atta boy, Rin." She praised him and patted his head.

[Rin's Thoughts]: "She complimented me! This is good, it means I'm definitely improving. That's good news! If I continue this path, I'll become strong enough to protect Miss Kyouka!"

However, when the young man thought this, it was quickly converted into his reward. After transforming back into his original form, his reward was carrying Kyouka... Like a princess. His master was seen wrapping her arms around his neck with a confused expression. Even so, this wasn't exactly as embarrassing as the other rewards she's given him...

[Kyouka]: "Hey, what kind of reward is this supposed to be? I haven't sustained any damage, you know."

[Rin]: "I'm honestly not so sure either." (Sure buddy, sure.)

[Kyouka]: "It's an appropriate reward for Nei, but doing this type of thing with me is a waste of time."

[Rin]: "Huh?! No way! That couldn't be any further from the truth!" He spoke confidently.

[Kyouka]: "If you say so... Honestly, I simply don't understand what goes on in your mind... You damn perv." She said before kissing the young man.

(Definitely one of my more favorite rewards in the manga/anime. It was pretty nice.)
