Chapter 9 | Scouting a Slave, Tenka's Desire

It was a bit later in the day since the battle against the unknown humanoid named Rairen. Those who were involved, the sixth unit and seventh unit, all of them suffered little to no injury. The two siblings, Rin and Meihu, on the other hand, have taken on some damage after facing off against the beast that is Rairen- Though Rin took the most punishment since he kept on changing forms during his fight. That left him completely unable to move for a bit but he was miraculously able to control his body after just a short rest.

In turn, this left their fellow unit members to question the siblings' endurance. Shushu called them "Stamina Freaks". Himari and Yachiho chalked it up to genetics and heredity due to their experience in martial arts and an almost warrior-like upbringing, a bit similar to their own. Sahara had no words to say as she was sleeping the day away.

But getting back to the story. The members of the seventh unit gathered together in the common room, where Nei is seen sketching up a portrait of what the enemies from their last battle looked like...

[Nei]: "The enemies Nei saw looked just like this." She said, finishing up her sketch.

There were two individuals. One was that short girl with long purple-black hair with snakes in it. And the other was a tall and intimidating woman with horns on her head. Although Nei's sketch isn't exactly the most accurate, it looks almost like she drew manga characters. It's pretty good...

[Shushu]: "Ohhh! Amazing as always!" She praised her.

[Nei]: "This is my Magnum Opus!"

[Rin's Thoughts]: "It is really good, but the art style..."

[Himari]: "They'll make an official composite sketch back at HQ later." She whispered to Rin.

[Kyouka]: "Neither of them are the humanoid we encountered last time."

[Rin]: "..."

Rin remembered about that, the last time they encountered a humanoid. The one that looked like his sister, Tingyue. He remembered it as clear as day. It's been on his mind ever since. Everyday since that incident, she would always pop up in his mind. Whenever he's cleaning, whenever he's cooking, even when he's about to sleep, he thinks of Tingyue.

The scene cuts to Rin's room, where the owner of said room was able to go to sleep. However, at this time, he was still thinking of Tingyue which kept him up...

[Rin]: "That one that looked like Jie Jie, she wasn't with the others... Are they different?" He asked himself. "Or is there... Another reason?"
