Chapter 16 | Triple Threats!

Last time on Zodiac Odyssey: Rin was successfully rescued by the seventh and sixth units. During that time, the two individuals: Naon and Coco were captured by the enemy who call themselves the Gods of Thunder. With that, Tingyue will regroup with her other friends and will rest, then battle another day; with the goal of saving her "sisters". Additionally, Rin also has a goal of his own; to bring his Tingyue back and make her normal again.

After that, Rin meets up with an old friend; but what he doesn't realize is that she's much more than just an old friend.

A few days have passed since the seventh unit's last mission. Things have pretty much gone back to normal, only this time, every member of the seventh unit has grown just a bit stronger; even Rin. With the expectation of many more challenges in the future, the seventh unit went into overdrive for their training. On top of morning training, patrolling, sparring, and even some personal training, they just kept going. But they did make sure to rest and relax so as to not burn themselves out. Out of them all, Rin trained the hardest. From sun up to sun down; Rin kept on improving himself mentally and physically.

With that out of the way, it now leads to today's current events. Just recently, Kyouka announced to the members of the seventh unit that some other members will be returning to the unit. Upon hearing this, Rin was worried about the situation just a little. He feared it'll be like what happened to him when he just first started out working for the seventh unit. But thankfully, Kyouka reassured him that nothing bad will happen...

[Kyouka]: "These members are just fellow disciples, we used to train and work together when we started working for the DDF."

[Rin]: "I see."

[Rin's Thoughts]: "Well that's a relief."

[Kyouka]: "Be sure to treat them with respect, okay."

[Rin]: "I will, I promise."

[Kyouka]: "Even so, you should still tread with caution. Two out of three won't be easy to get along with. They aren't very fond of outsiders, let alone men."

[Rin]: "And that's what I was hoping you wouldn't say."

[Kyouka]: "You don't have to worry, the oldest of the three is able to keep the other two in line."

[Rin]: "Who exactly are they? The way you worded it out, you make it sound like they're related."

[Kyouka]: "It's because they are, all three of them." She said, "They're triplets." She added.
