Chapter 14 | Strike with Blood

Last time on Zodiac Odyssey: two mysterious individuals have appeared and call themselves members of the Eight Gods of Thunder. Following their sudden arrival, the tall one, Jouryuu, absolutely sweeps the floor with most of the members of the ADC, as well as holding Naon and Coco by their necks. In retaliation, Tingyue tries to attack Jouryuu only for her former ally, the One-Horn to stab her in the back. Which leads to Meihu and Rin rushing to their older sister's aid, only for the One-Horn charging towards them, with a high possibility of killing them on the spot. In turn, this leads Rin facing the brutish beast head on and to reveal a Xuezhang family secret... Blood Manipulation...

[Rin]: "... Blood Manipulation: Piercing Blood!!!"

Something began to quickly change in Rin's body, a large flow of energy and power rushed from his heart to his arms, and then to his hands. With the blink of an eye, Rin unleashes a powerful arrow or laser-like projectile from his hand. It was fast, far too fast for the human eye to see. And Rin lands a direct hit right into the One-Horn's left eye...

[One-Horn]: *Growls in pain*

[Rin's Thoughts]: "Witness the will of the WEAK!"

[Kyouka]: "No way?!"

[Tenka]: "How'd he do that?! He didn't even transform!"

[Meihu/Tingyue]: "Lin!!?"

[Shikoku]: "Ahahaha!"

[Jouryuu]: "... Impossible..."

[Kyouka's Thoughts]: "This is it, Rin, this is what you've been hiding?"

Blood Manipulation: it's not a blessing but rather an ability- a technique inherited to all born in the Xuezhang family. As the name implies, blood manipulation is an ability that allows the user to control and shape their blood beyond its natural form or motion for a variety of effects. Internally and externally, blood can be utilized as long as it belongs to the user- but there have been a few exceptions. And it doesn't stop there.

However, there's a few setbacks to this ability. One, women born with this ability are able to utilize blood manipulation to their fullest potential compared to men who are only really able to use basic techniques. Two, men who can use blood manipulation are much weaker, making it so they won't have any destructive power.

Rin knew very well that, despite being able to use blood manipulation and landing a direct hit, the One-Horn was still able to get back up on its feet. But, the One-Horn is now down one eye. Thanks to Rin's piercing blood, Tingyue was able to get back on her feet. The One-Horn let out a loud bellow and continued where it left off, stampeding towards the three siblings. Rin decides to run towards the One-Horn to face the beast head on, and his two sisters follow behind.
