Last time on Mato Seihei no Slave | Zodiac Odyssey: Kyouka was ordered to bring Rin along with her to the Chiefs' Assembly. There, all but one chief has finally been introduced: Konomi, Mira, Bell, Yakumo, Varvara, Fubuki, and Ren.
At the same time, this was also when Rin found out that Ren was the DDF's commander, and the two got off to a bit of a quiet start(Rin giving Ren the silent treatment). During the assembly, they were interrupted by a large shuuki horde that was seen charging towards the DDF headquarters. Four chiefs were sent out to deal with them, and in doing so, they discovered that they were given the ability to self-destruct and explode. Thanks to Ginna, she was able to locate the whereabouts of enemy hostels, foreign terrorists close-by.
Ren flies into action and instantly defeats the terrorist group, with the aid of Rin who was able to stop one of the aggressors who had the ability to create bombs and explosions, and also defeating a juiced-up feral gorilla-like man. When the opposition was dealt with, the chiefs' assembly resumed and finished fairly quickly. During the meeting, the chiefs all agreed that they must work together in order to defeat the Gods of Thunder.

It's only been two days since the chief's assembly, with the idea of working together with other chiefs and their units, the seventh unit will be further increasing their strengths in order to not be overshadowed by the other units.
Kyouka will be training with Rin and the triplets; she'll be using her "lending" ability in order to strengthen it...
[Rin]: "With this many people to lend to, won't your mind and body be heavily fatigued? I don't want another situation like last time."
[Kyouka]: "Thank you for worrying about me, Rin, but I've "upped" my endurance since then. I won't fall this time."
[Rin]: "Okay... But if I see you so much as twitch, this training session is over."
[Kyouka]: "Hey, who's the master around here?" She points a finger at Rin.
She said so in a firm but also in a joking way...
[Kyouka]: "Chinastu, you'll be going first."
[Chinatsu]: "Yes ma'am." She stepped forward.
Rin approaches Chinatsu and gets down on one knee. The young man gently grabs her left hand and kisses it. Chinatsu's eyes widened and her face flustered slightly. Her two sisters had the same shocked expression.
